Default Cheney asks Saudis for help in Iraq

    26/11/2006 - 5:03:52 PM

US Vice President Dick Cheney has sought help from Saudi Arabia in dealing with Iraq’s spiralling violence and other trouble spots.

Cheney’s meeting with King Abdullah yesterday was brief, but it underlined the two allies’ concerns over upheavals across the Middle East, which many Arabs blame on US policies.

In a sign of the urgency of the US concern, president George Bush is scheduled to meet Iraq’s prime minister in the Jordanian capital on Wednesday and Thursday to discuss security matters.

Before the meeting, a Saudi official said Cheney was expected to ask Saudi Arabia to use its considerable influence with Iraq’s Sunni Arab minority to promote reconciliation with Iraqi Shiites and Kurds.

Sunni insurgents have staged some of the bloodiest attacks on US troops and Shiites.

In return, Saudi Arabia wants the US to help rein in Iraq’s Shiite militias, which have been blamed for sectarian attacks that have killed thousands.

if they dont increase the rate this week and they continue to not release dollars they are going to create a black market economy.

you remember they warned them months ago that they should trade in their dollars for dinar? now you see why.

The Kuwait site is showing IQD to USD as 1350.4445 OBVIOUSLY THEY KNOW SOMETHING and isn't 1350 the target to allow for a full reval.

SGS,Adster ,Kiko, Ward ETC. or anyone with a take on this? Also anyone who can get a better translation for after the hilited part. Thanks

I really don't think its anymore than we already heard for sometime now. Beating dollarization requires a currency of worth or why choose it over the dollar?

The CBI is taking steps to achieve this goal. RV must be the ultimate and final step. Inflation and shortages are solved with the RV, which includes parity pricing for the region.

Other than that the unsanctioned money changers of the street are making money the way any bank would in currency exchange in buying low and selling high. They will sell dinar at a rate of 1430 per dollar and they are selling dollars at a rate of one dollar to 1450 dinar. Capitalism at its purest level.
It seems that the state insists, or preserve the value of the Iraqi dinar 148 against the dollar ...Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states [ MOF Sept 2006]

High RV is like Coke; it’s the real thing baby!
