Nah, mods, we need a bull*hit smilie/flag on here for sure.
I agree as well. This seems to go against every bit of information that has been dug up lately. Although the 4:1 would be nice to see in only one years time.

Hey guys, I'm in the $1.48 camp myself, I just wanted to know your thoughts on this post. The guy seems confident in his sources, but I still feel like .04 would do more harm than good at this point.

Depends on how many millions you have, If someone has 10 million thats 400k. Don't know about you but thats a heck of a chunk all at once to me.

I understand what you are saying, but $40K return on a $900 (approx) investment is the stuff that dreams are made of.

However, I do believe that it will go higher, it just depends on if you can wait or not.

Not only that but 4 cents doesn't solve any Iraqi issues either....which is why I won't offload a note at that price. This kind of number really doen't make any sense.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, folks don't sell yourself short. It is unlikely most of us will get a second chance at this.

It seems that the state insists, or preserve the value of the Iraqi dinar 148 against the dollar ...Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states [ MOF Sept 2006]

Have you seen the Kurdish dinar on e-bay?????? A friend of mine called last night and shot me a link on e-bay about a 10 dinar coin dated 2006 in Kurdish currency. This was in hopes (for the kurds) to have their own country....

    Warehousing.
The Federal Open Market Committee of the Federal Reserve can permit the Treasury to "warehouse" some amount of foreign currency, if needed and appropriate, with the Federal Reserve System for the purposes of making more dollar resources available for ESF operations. Warehousing arrangements have only been used in a few specific instances.
In a warehousing transaction, the ESF makes a spot sale of foreign currency to the Federal Reserve System and simultaneously commits to repurchase the currency at a market-determined forward price on a specific future maturity date. Authorization to conduct warehousing operations has been renewed annually by the FOMC as a part of its foreign currency directive to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for the System Open Market Account. The limit on warehousing is $5 billion, but this limit was temporarily raised to $10 billion in 1989 and $20 billion in 1995. The last use of the warehousing arrangement was during the period 1988-1992.

Is this ringing a bell for anyone out there.
The latest dollar amount was $20 Billion in 1992.
    More than 10-years ago.
What do we think it would be today in order to support and lift the Dinar?
Excellent post! I always knew that there was a procedure for the US to move in and buy another countries currency to provide a "boost". So this implies that there is a 20 Billion insurance policy against the dinar falling. Also, I always thought that the many countries that were involved in Iraqi would not let the value of the Dinar fail once it RV'ed. Nice piece of homework.

You need to show him that you didn't make an unwise decision, and that, in fact, you made a very smart decision.

Or, you could tease him a little bit. Walk home with a lot of numbers in your bank account (let him see it, of course), and then write him a check for $1000, and say, "Here - This is for you spend however you want", and let him ask what is going to happen to the rest of it. That's when you politely say, "Honey, you believed I was wasting money when I purchased Dinars. So, since you felt I was wasting money, I certainly have taken your words to heart, and don't want to give you any more than I feel you need to be happy".

Of course, don't let this go on forever, but having a little fun is partially what this is all about. That's what I'd do - Of course, my wife has been onboard with this investment since day one, so I guess I don't get to have any fun with her... At least in this regard, anyway.
Or make him watch from the window, and everynow and then give a reassuring glance over you shoulder
