In this struggle, the Arabs were striving for the independence and unity of Palestine, Syria, and Iraq. The aid to the Arabs would have to be material aid. Of how little help sympathies alone were in such a battle had been demonstrated plainly by the operation in Iraq, where circumstances had not permitted the rendering of really effective, practical aid. (I betcha' if they revalued their currency then.....it would have been effective)...Come on reval!!

They joke alot, and my husband told him that I was buying dinar. The owner kept telling him "Don't waste your money, you are buying something that is worthless." Well, I bought hubby a 25,000 note for his birthday in October, and he folded it up, put it in his wallet, to carry around for good luck, hoping that one day he would call and I would tell him it r/v'd and he could come home. Well, yesterday he stopped at his favorite fuel stop, and as usual was joking with the owner. He pulled out his 25,000 note and showed it to him. He looked it over really well, and said "This is what the big notes look like huh? My sister has only been sending me 1,000 dinar notes." My husband was shocked, and said "I thought you said it was worthless." The owner just told him "You shouldn't be carrying that around with you, you need to go put it in a safe deposit box." I immediatly asked my husband, "did you ask him why the change of heart?!?" And he said he didn't think about it at the time because he thought it was just good that the owner was now telling him to hang tight to that currency.

Well, that is my story. Wish I knew the owner better, because I would have all kinds of questions.

Hi Choochie, I just wanted to tell you not to worry. Your husband should be able to find a job pretty quick. Truck drivers are the life blood of this nation. Without them this nation would come to a halt.

I keep a 10,000 dinar note in my wallet just for the heck of it, and I took it out of my wallet and showed it to him and said, "Hey, I wanna buy your store!" He looked at it, got a big smile on his face and said, "If you have alot of these then you won't need to work much longer, I know I won't, I'm going to give this place to my sons." Now everytime I see him in the store I say to him, "Are we almost retired?!" And he gets a big smile on his face and says, "Yes, soon, very soon."
Wow! I like your story better than mine!

That is certainly promising Choochie! He was a naysayer, and has had a change of heart. His family over in Iraq must know something for him to change his tune.

Sorry about your husband getting laid off. Here's to a RV soon!

What I believe he is saying is that even at .04 you are looking at about a 4000% return. That is AMAZING!!!

Now don't get me wrong...look at my sig...you know what I am looking for and expecting, however what he was making mention to is that it is VERY hard to find any investment that would produce those type of returns.
    I just need $1.47.

    Like it!

Funny, I always carry a 50 dinar note in my wallet, not to show to anyone, just for luck.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Well...here was the plan. A buddy of mine wanted to purchase some more dinar. So...I told him I would meet him early this morning to go to Tulsa and I would walk him through it. We arrived at the Chase branch on 41st Street, the same place I have made my last three purchases right at opening time. We walked in and a lady that I have spoken to, and recognized me, asked if I "was there to purchase foreign currency". I told her yes and then she said their new rule was that they couldn't sell it to me unless I had an account with them and had had it open for a year. I just smiled and we walked out. I told my buddy the sources are all drying up. After that, we went to Bank of American at 71st & Memorial to find out if it was true since my last visit if BOA was in fact dealing in dinar. Dead End! No problem, at least not for me, because I was there to make purchases for someone else and to help someone else purchase MORE. We headed back to where we left his truck parked and since I had some other banking business to do at a Stillwater National Bank and I remembered one of the clerks telling me some time back that they would be able to order dinar for me, but it would take 10 days to 2 weeks to come in because they have to order through Bank of America. I thought, why not, we're getting close. One of the tellers went to check with a supervisor and after a few minutes she came back and said that they couldn't order it and that they had called BOA and were told that they couldn't get anymore either. Hey friends and family, WE ARE ALMOST THERE!

His sister does not live in Iraq anymore, she is in Jordan, but has been sending dinars to him.

I have a back up plan and live my life accordingly. I do admit I am relying on this to fulfill all the dreams i could ever have in life. Does it make it wrong to dream or think this way. I do BELIEVE this is an investment of a life time and at 4 cents it would be one heck of a return....Go ahead and cash all your dinar holdings in at 4 cents pay off your debts and mortgage. Don't know what your age is but if you are really older like in your upper 50s to 60s then yea cashing in isnt a bad option if you had something like 10 million dinar getting 400k you could put that in a cd that yeilds 5 percet a month so you get 2,000$ a month now if your old and single you could live off that. Me im 28 looking to never work again and to me thats 70,000 a year. I'd be happy and content with that.. so whatever value it comes to if it is a slow increase and crawl im not cashing in till i reach MY goal in this venture.
Everybody has their own goals and at what rate they can become financialy independent. DO WHAT YOU WANT>>>IM HOLDING ON TO MINE UNTIL I REACH MY GOAL. Tank
Use common sense...the world may just start look different....its always fun to dream...and you never know they may come true ONE DAY
