Iraq's main northern oil distribution center was in flames after two mortar shells landed on it today, an official with the Northern Oil Company said.

Good eve. all...I see the .04 r/v is still going around, however we need to examine the source. I to could tell all of you that I have a great contact, solid, knows his stuff. Now this contact may just happen to be a squirill who runs up and down power lines all day. We have read more crediable articles plublished from Iraq stating that they need to r/v in lines with neighbouring countries etc, ect. A .04 r/v would only bring in large investors with several millions, not the hundreds and thousands that we bring. We are cheaper to pay off then to allow the large investors in for .04 r/v with a peg and security and allow then to hold till the next r/v of say 1.00 +. I can only imagine that it will begin as low as .30-1.00 and more than closer to 1.00 to keep large speculators away. Now when is a good question. This Am they were only able to suck 850,000 dinars out of circulation, (I think sgs has more than that stuffed in her sock), so that would say that they have pretty muched dried up the dinar in Iraq. Now history, if it repeats itself....most r/v's happen on a Wednesday, and towards the end of the month.....HMMMMM. We have read that Iraq Government plans to take a recess in mid December, and I doubt that they will r/v and then dissappear. So, any day now looks good.....maybe tomorrow ( i hope its tomorrow for Charmed Pipers sake. lets see the auction in the AM.....6 hours away.

Buying demand for U.S. dollars hit a new low for 2006 on Tuesday and the dollar rate was down two dinars amid expectations of lower demand for the U.S. currency as the Iraqi central bank moves towards raising the dinar rate.

The Cenbank said in its daily statement the dollar demand reached $0.850 million compared to $20.580 million on Monday.

The central bank covered all bids received from local banks which were $0.850 million in cash.
The exchange rate was at 1,437 dinars per dollar, two dinars down from the previous session.
Only six banks participated in Tuesday’s session, the lowest number in 2006, and none of them offered to sell dollars.

The Iraqi central bank runs a daily auction on Sunday through Thursday.
