the argument was back then that the paper was the same on both but it isnt so they werent using iqd to make usd. false.

state of emergency wont affect any revalue. theyve been under a state of emergency for a very long time now and its already started to revalue.

I know, it's dangerous. lol. Listen, when we first went into Iraq their exchange rate was $3.20 back in 1989 and after 13 years of sanctions thier exchange rate was .33. Please explain to me how the Iraqi people are going to settle down and embrace democracy for 1000:1? Heck, even 100:1? There is so much information to digest and arguements can be made for a low and a high currency exchange rate.... but i highlighted the end of your post. This is really the issue isn't it? I mean, 1000:1 (as mentioned recently) doesn't do much for a country that high inflation, terrible unemployment numbers and low buying power. Those problems (and many more) start to go away with a stronger exchange rate of .33 or 1:1 or higher.

I believe the next couple weeks are key. The Iraqi gov. will soon finalize oil dividend distribution/sharing of local citizens and then, i believe, most of the cards are in place for a major dinar reval.

Not to worry. The state of emergency has been in effect for a few years and they have to decide whether or not to extend it every 30 days.
