A good question. Today the net effect was to place about $700,000 USD back into the economy. From now on as we watch this process take place, lets keep in mind that they removed 1.2Trillion. At this level, it would be a very long time before they put back in 1.2Trillion. The 1.2 Trillion removal was truely a remarkable monetary intervention. So lets track the auctions and I think you'll see that the NET effect of the removal will still be a remarkable amount even if they do begin to place small amounts of currency back into the economy. An additional note:

If they continued to put $700,000 USD or about 1 Billion dinar back into the economy, it would take about 5 years of auctions for them to replace 1.2 Trillion dinar into the economy. So the dinar removal was a monumental monetary intervention and as we track the auctions, we'll see what the new trend is. Thank You.

Let's just take a look at the amount of Dinar sold... What if the Dinar sold to the participating banks were of lower denominations in preparation for the up and coming events?

2. Is there sub-single coinage?

Noone knows what they are. We know they minted 14 denominations and 9 are currently in use. My take is we're looking at 1s, 2s, 5s, 10s and 20s.

We'll see, should be hearing about them soon the way we're going.
