King Abdullah meets SCIRI's Hakim
Amman, Nov 29,

(VOI) – King Abdullah of Jordan held talks in Amman on Wednesday with Abdul-Aziz al-Hakim, head of the Shiite umbrella Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) to discuss developments in Iraq.

"There is no going back in Iraq. We are looking for the support of the Arab world," the Jordanian news agency quoted Hakim as saying.

"It is in the interest of Arabs not to distance themselves from Iraq. They have to understand the nature of the country's circumstances," he added.

"The biggest loser in a sectarian war would be our Sunni brothers," he said.
The Jordanian monarch warned during the meeting of sectarian strife and expressed his country's support for efforts to end violence in Iraq.

I was reading this article just posted and noticed the reference to Interior Under-Secretary....since the SECRETARY is in Jordan for the big summit. Come on November reval we all need it now!!!

Iraqi interior under-secretary survives assassination attempt

Kirkuk, Nov 29,

(VOI) – Iraqi under-secretary of the interior ministry on Wednesday escaped unhurt an assassination attempt when an explosive charge went off at his motorcade in Zab district near the northern oil town of Kirkuk, a security source in Kirkuk.

“Under-secretary Ahmed Mohammed Khalaf survived an assassination bid,” the source at the joint operations room told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).

The explosion caused no damage or injuries, the source added.
Zab lies 35 km northwest of Kirkuk which is 250 km north east Baghdad.
