More Good News From Iraq
On the heels of last week's successful, landmark Iraqi elections comes word of a growing thaw among the Sunni minority.

The Washington Times is reporting that Sunni Muslim leaders in Iraq's violent Anbar province say they are ready to cooperate with the United States.

They are seeking to extend a temporary truce honored by most insurgent groups for last week's elections but say they want the United States to reduce military raids and increase development projects for their vast desert province.

A powerful Sunni leader leader said insurgent groups had prevented violence from interfering with Thursday's elections - the result of weeks of negotiations between U.S. officials and insurgents.

Sunni religious leader Sheik Abed al-Latif Hemaiym told The Times in an interview in Amman that Sunnis were prepared to work with the United States.

"We now believe we must get on good terms with the Americans," Hemaiym said. "As Arab Sunnis, we believe that within this hot area of Iraq, facing challenges from neighboring nations who want to swallow us, especially the Iranians, we feel we have no alternative."

looks like we will get another little trade soon after the Dinar reval :)

It has been stated that the next wave could be the Asian Currency. This would be wild after the Dinar and the dollar stays up. I am sure Abster and OSW has said this earlier on this thread. This club will turn into Currency Exchanger Experts soon enough.

Just heard from a few of my trusted insiders, and things are happening in Iraq which will enable revalue to happen very soon. What has not been released to media, or simply was, but not published, is that last weeks termination of insurgent leader has led to hundreds of key terrorist plans, locations of weapons, connections, etc, and troops have wiped out about 50% of insurgent leaders over the past week. This is good news as it was also discovered that the insurgents were in trouble financially, were becoming disorganized, moral down, etc., and this was before the killing of their leader. I hear the bombings are actually a fraction of what is was two weeks ago, and this is coming from Iraq contact working with Kurd's on oil refinery, so he has been there for past year. So much is still being suppressed it is amazing.

Good news Mike, what things are happening they saying to enable it to happen? Foreign investment law? That's what I keep hearing we need. As to the rate, you still hearing .40? Seems a few folk are saying this now....

Reckon next 2 weeks is as good a time as any. Once the Iraqi's have money in their pockets they'll be more likely to have even less to do with the insurgents. Good times await for all folks.

Let's keep on track guys, this is about the Iraqi dinars nothing else.
