Political / united / Iraq / Fund Annan recommends the Security Council to transfer the powers of supervision of the Development Fund for Iraq to the Iraqi UN-11-30 (KUNA) -- The Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan today expressed his support for the transfer of the responsibilities of overseeing the Development Fund for Iraq from the referendum and international observation to the competent body under the control of the Iraqi government. The Annan in a letter sent to the Security Council, that the difficult security conditions in Iraq to prevent the referendum and control to carry out its tasks in an appropriate way, "In these circumstances I totally support the transfer of the powers of the body to another Iraqi." To read some posts on these last few pages makes you think that an RV has already happened. I personally am not going to get so excited over an assumption. The assumption being that the ratification of the FIL means an RV. This is an assumption is it not? I would love to be wrong but I fear that if you all get this excited over an assumption that when/if an RV does happen you will probably just drop dead from excitement right where you are standing/sitting when you get the news.

Hold up folks... Sea Ray's post brought to mind something else... ratification is one thing, but doesnt the law have to be published in the gazette to be enacted?

they recently changed the requirement, it can be published in any public newspaper (i believe).

OK Everyone,

I just read the last 15 pages boy now I can see why everyone is so excited. I was so busy today I did not have a chance to really read the tread.

I sold one of my houses today and that is why I was at the Bank with my wonderful check but I saw the news on the big screen and it scared me. I am never turning CNN on again I think it is worse than a horror movie which I do not watch (to scary.)

After reading the tread I must say I am happier than I have been in the last few days.

VERY VERY EXCITED I HAVE MY KITTY WIGGLE BACK!!!!

I will show you the kitty wiggle at the RV party next week.

I believe their is only one person who was told this by a teller, just go in another day, and the story will probably change, you DO NOT need an account with chase, 24 hour turn-around, ... cake-walk
