For some of the dinar holders. We should check into chartering a private jet to Qatar or Jordan. To get the best exchange rate. We would also need to know double for sure. To make sure, that we could do it legally! Granted we get a decent exchange rate. Anything under .60 I will hold most! That sure would be one stinky ride!

gentlemen too. we have discussed various rate possibilities from .05 to 1.86. not one in the group is very willing to pin down a particular rate except for me and its not specific, its anything over a buck twenty because of the kurds. the kurds have stated they will walk if it isnt at least that much because of their former currency buying power with the swiss dinar.

im sure theyve put a stop to all dinar going out of the country, and it is only a matter of time until those streams run dry. youve seen the reports of the well circulated dinar being sold so we know that they are past that point.

i believe nothing was reported about the fil until after the auction had taken place and no banks bought. it was on presidency but i checked presidency site before the auction and it hadnt updated yet.

i suspect that they took the auction as being a good sign to go ahead with that announcement on the fil so they can get this little party started.

are they all still dealing? and at what prices per million?

The reval could be announced on Friday as was the Juan and LRE (muslim). The announcement could be made as these were stating something like the CBI has decided to revalue the local currency etc. etc. and the new exchange rate will be in effect at the opening of the exchange saturday night/sunday morning. This was how the Juan was done because I remember that was all they were talking about once it was announced and the anticipation of the exchange opening.

The Council of Ministers (CoM) unanimously endorsed the International Compact with Iraq (ICI) November 26. The ICI aims to reform subsidies, implement fiscal federalism, and strengthen the oil, agriculture and other key economic sectors. Also included are goals for improving governance, rule of law, civil rights and civil society. Implementation of the ICI will be tracked by Iraq’s international partners against specific benchmarks and timelines. A final signing event, where as many as 70 international partners will pledge their support for Iraq and the Compact, is expected to occur in early 2007.

I thought this final signing was suppose to done in Nov. or Dec. 06! So I guess the hold up is the HCL law. So who thinks we will not see any movement until 2007 between Jan to June? Not me, some people are thinking that this may be the case though!

Goldraker.......you know better than to listen to the garbage they feed you over at IIF......We will see the reval this weekend and may be announced today (Friday), the implementation of the foreign investment law is a go.....no big deal on the HCL as far as holding everything else up......Stay over here Goldraker if you want the facts.....and go over to Never-Neverland for the fiction!!!!!!

i believe the very high rate would be the only thing contingent on the oil investment law having to be done first. with what they are making right now tho they can afford over a dollar on the rate as we have seen they have removed enough dinar from the market. so its all good as adster would say!!

There is an HSBC bank 10 minutes from my place and I happened to pass there this morning (my time) just as they were about to open for business. I popped in there and asked the woman if they were buying or selling you know what! I must point out that the foreign exchange window was actually TRAVELEX situated within the HSBC Bank. She denied all knowledge and I told here that the HSBC was dealing in you know what overseas. I asked her would they sell dinar if it came on the Internatiol market. First she told me that she didn't have a clue and 3 seconds later she said that the bank still wouldn't trade dinar for about 2 or even 5 years and she meant anywhere in Australia. Not a bad answer for someone that didn't have a clue about the dinar OR DID SHE??????
