we transfered dinar into the isx from our warka account. and whatever you do dont send dinar through the mail at this point. people are getting in big trouble since they have basically shut all dinar from coming in or out of the country. cant dry it up if people are shipping it in can ya?

Yes exciting times indeed. Here is an article about the international fair in northern Iraq. It was organized by the Iraqi American chamber of commerce, was inaugurated by Nechirvan Barzani, the prime minister of Kurdistan's regional government.

Hi Susie, first I want to thank you for your replies. Personally my dinars won't be leaving the house until they're worth a descent amount. I guess I was thinking that everything could be done electronically. I just assumed that usd would pretty much be the standard currency if they want alot of investors to invest in their country. (most people don't have dinars and that's the way we like it, right?) I'm new to foreign stock exchange, so I really would like to know if my thinking is off.

The ISX runs their financial year from the 1st of January to The 31st of December.


The Exchange’s financial year shall commence on the first of January of each year and end on the last day of December, provided, however, that the initial financial year shall begin upon the commencement of Exchange operations and shall concluded December 31, 2004
