Hi Susie, first I want to thank you for your replies. Personally my dinars won't be leaving the house until they're worth a descent amount. I guess I was thinking that everything could be done electronically. I just assumed that usd would pretty much be the standard currency if they want alot of investors to invest in their country. im not sure how they have the electronics set up for the isx but im sure they do now. my experience was back in the stone ages of iraqi stock exchange. lol
im sure you can use a card right on their site that is automatically changed to dinar as you pay.

This is a little tough to read as the translation is not that great but what stuck out was the word "CREDIT" and "MARKET" could this be some form of the 10K we have been waiting on or more likely just a translation glitch.

I need some help with this one. According to this article dated November 8 the oil law has been enacted....maybe just a mixup of words in translation but need opinion so we don't accidently overlook something here.

I believe this means that outside investors won't be able to start their own bank or insurance company. IMO it does not affect currency. I may be wrong but this is how i interpret it.

Or perhaps they have special laws for these 4 fields of investment that this
particular law did not seem acceptable for and they are creating seperate laws for them.

Pretty smart of them to offer 15 years tax free if investors hire at least 50%
Iraqi workers, good for their economy.

full story behind my post. It had to do with a post by RValreadydang that
stated the government had agreed to some laws but not all of them.

the laws of iraq, when made official, are posted on the 'official gazette'. that is جردية الوقائع العراقية or in english uruklink .net/ iqlaw
