I did some checking around...one bank in the town I live in said it could take 60-90 days for verification. I would think that I will not be doing business with them. However, if they have to verify them, I would think that since the Iraqi Dinar we get from the banks in Canada come from the BOFA, that the BOFA could somehow manage to verify the dinar with out sending them back to Iraq. JMO.

Banker told me today that it would take no longer than 7 business days, most likely 5 business days. This was at Chase bank. He did not say that they were sent back to Iraq, he said they are sent to a "branch" of the Chase banking system somewhere?
I did talk with someone at BOA last week and they told me somthing similar to what you were told, about 8-10 weeks. SCREW THAT, personally........... I am sticking with Chase.

I will not be doing any farm jiggs when this revalues, however I will be doing the humpty dance which I figure is very similar to the kitty wiggle and the banana dance!!! Then again if it revalues high enough, I might do a farm jigg, if I can find a farm!!

I think I would call a few places and ask them on the phone if they are able
to verify "inhouse" that my dinar are the real thing and keep calling until I find
one that says "yes we can" and that's where I'm going, don't care if I have to
drive all over the USA to get there but I ain't lettin' em take em from me
unless there is no other option. I'll even bring my own black light if I have to.
