What also is interesting is that there was mention of it in the media about the street value....it is almost like they are saying well we have done what could now we have to go to the next level. We know they have the ability to sensor the news so obviously they want this information to be known to the general public....I would think anyway.....

    Interesting,

Just heard from my Kurd's and no word on 10K once again, and Sunday's are usually good news days, yet nothing is even mentioned about why the delay is pushing two months now. I sure hope it is for the reason we are awaiting. My contacts are as perplexed about this lack of news as all of us are. This confirms to them we have to be close, so again, here we are all waiting for something to happen, pure torture. (g)

    Good luck to all, Mike

I noticed over the last couple months that everyone waits for a reval on Sunday, and then when the CBI posts its auctions and we realize the reval hasn't happened yet, people say "well lets wait and see what happens on the Aussie Forex." Why do we think the Aussie Forex is going to be any different than the CBI auctions? I'm not slamming anyone, just trying to get my arms around the thought process here.

    Thanks,

    CD

Iraqi president meets Kuwaiti humanitarian team

Iraqi president meets Kuwaiti humanitarian team

(With photos) BAGHDAD, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Iraqi President Jalal Talabani received on Sunday chief of Kuwait's Humanitarian Operations Center (HOC) retired Lieutenant-General Ali Al-Mu'min.

Talabani lauded overall bilateral ties Kuwait and its overall support for Iraq, urging Al-Mu'min to allocate more support for certain areas that suffered the most.

On his part, Al-Mu'min said the center would provide support where it is most needed regardless of geographical locations, adding the center has already provided aid to all parts of Iraq.

He explained that the center already has a number of humanitarian projects and these efforts will be continued.

On Saturday, Al-Mu'min was received by Iraqi Premier Nouri Al-Maliki who commended Kuwait's support for Iraq's citizens and political process.

Al-Mu'min told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) the visit's goal was to follow-up projects carried out by Kuwait for the benefit of Iraq's people.

He added that he outlined the center's role to Al-Maliki and stressed Kuwaiti-Iraqi brotherly ties.

Heading a Kuwaiti humanitarian delegation, Al-Mu'min arrived in Iraq on Friday and has already met several local and international officials. (end) mhg.

Talabani rejects Annan’s peace conference offer
    (AFP)

    3 December 2006

BAGHDAD - Iraqi President Jalal Talabani rejected on Sunday UN Secretary General Kofi Annan’s idea of an international peace conference on Iraq, apparently leaving the idea dead in the water.

“There’s a political process ongoing in Iraq and there’s a parliament which is the best in the region. We’ve become an independent sovereign state and it will be us who decides the future of our country,” he said in a statement.

On Tuesday, Annan suggested that the international community should hold a broad-based peace conference in a bid to find a way out of the vicious sectarian struggle that has plunged Iraq into bloodshed.

“I do not believe, given the bitterness and the level of violence, that they can do it alone. The international community has to help them do it and work with them,” he told reporters at the United Nations in New York.

The secretary general’s idea has not found much support, however, and on Saturday it was rejected by one of the most powerful Shia leaders in Iraq, Abdel Aziz al-Hakim.

No serious Iraq conference could ignore Hakim’s Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI), a powerful Iranian-backed Shia movement with a major role in the Shia-dominated government.

The senior cleric told reporters in Amman: “We think it is neither reasonable nor correct to discuss questions relative to Iraq in the framework of international conferences.”

Thxs for the update... from your Kurd contacts. Anyone heard from RollsRoyce lately. Offshore you made a good point. TORTURE. Yes it is, but at least its a different type of torture for us as compared to what all of them poor Iraqi's are going thru. I feel sheepish when I shake my head as I put a couple of packages of steak in my cart and complain about the price.

Iraqi's shake there heads when wondering...Where's my next meal coming from? We have it so good here. Just my ramblings. Thxs, Gloribee
