You can't prove it either way, so theres no use in arguing.

so youre saying that since too many people want it right now its not going to happen? now theres a new slant on it. believe it or not this is the news thread, we are posting, discussing, celebrating the good news thats coming out in every conceivable direction from iraq. of course, we must be bogged down by comments from people who cant be positive and have to comment on how everyone is celebrating too much for it to happen now.

guess what?? IM POSITIVE AND IM CELEBRATING BECAUSE IN OVER 2 YEARS I HAVE READ THE ARTICLES FROM IRAQ NEVER HAVE I HAD THE ABUNDANCE OF GOOD NEWS ABOUT THIS INVESTMENT AS IS HAPPENING AT THIS VERY MOMENT AND THAT MAKES ME WANT TO JUMP UP AND DOWN AND SCREAM TO THE WORLD IN HAPPINESS!!!!!

so if that concept is too much for you as i have said before 'tough teets'. now, join the list of the non-believers which bog me down.

The dialog among Elfwizard and others got me thinking. We have finally witnessed articles/statements saying that the Iraqi officials plan on revaluing their currency. Which is true, because it has actually been revalued (not nearly the change I am looking for, but better. ) So, Elfwizard says that it is going to be a slow and steady rise, and so far that is exactly what it is doing.

HOWEVER Am I completely off base by thinking that this country is wealthy by resources that the entire earth requires i.e. oil. It is my understanding that they are not able to trade or do business with other countries, until their currency is on the forex? (this is an actual question, please answer.) With thier currency currently being worth next to nothing, it would be hazardous to put it on the forex as is. Has their ever been a country that has just changed the value of the currency?? Or does it go back to the slow and steady rise that is happening right now?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

Best to keep those dinars and exchange them into Euros when the time comes.

Exactly Right. And the target will be a major US shipping port. My speculation is that it will be Los Angeles/Long Beach. It is only a matter of time.

They can do business with other countries. They do it every day, but they don't pay them in Dinars. It's with dollars that all foreign goods and services are paid for. The issue is "when" can they pay for them in Dinars. When the dinar is recognized as a legitimate currency for Iraq and it can be converted on the world market. Once they revalue the Dinar and it is traded internationally, then the value of Iraq's natural resources will come into play big time.
