they want to see the sba report i believe before they revalue. can you come up with any better reason why both the source from the govt. said 11th - 14th as did the iraqi connected professor? they want that sba review done first. i also believe that there is a shelf life of some document that is up on the 13th and action needs to be taken by then. just too many things pointing to that time period to ignore it.

I don't think anyone would ignore the dates between now and the 15th I certainly won't, not becuase of rumors though, I know there is action being made with the IAMB but I would like proof that it involves IMF in some capacity. In other words I'd like to see/figure the tie between the two.

That is strang, I called 2 different chase banks in austin to inquire on the Iraq dinar and rates and they both said that the dinars are no longer showing in their system. I plan to visit chase later today and will update as to what is going on or to confirm. Sorry, have to take my word on this because i do not want them getting bombarded with calls. Will be back later with what i find.

ok, here is update. I went into the chase bank located in roundrock and they had no problems looking up the iraq currency and giving me rate on 850,000 dinars. Do not know why when i called the austin location that they would tell me it is not in their system...anyways..back to the newz.

Dropping of the dollar agianst iraqi dinar caused by low interest rates

Dr. Taha Fakhri, member of the Iraqi Institute for developing the economy, said: "The decline in interest rates is the reason behind the slight decline in the dollar in governmental auctions and commercial transactions". He added: "This decline is also caused by the weak consumers demand on imported goods due to the deteriorating security situation, which compelled the State to finance some important deals".

He pointed out that: "The slight rise or decline of the dollar does not obstruct the growth or value of the iraqi dinar which is expected to become stronger than before with the introduction of the balance of 2007 and the strategic application of the new monetary policy announced by the government last year". He explained: "The decline will be reflected on the value of the precious metals whose prices will rise as a result of the fall in the dollar, which gives an opportunity for those who hold commercial transactions, such as automobiles and heavy equipment, to invest them". Fakhri said: in some cases the decline in the dollar rate is linked to America itself through the entry of imported goods and the exit of funds from it.(Source)AlSabah
