Not to step on Wm's upcoming response but there won't be a time frame. When you cash them in they will be retired at that point.

If you've already read them then pass on by and read another, no sense whining about it. Maybe you should try using your energy to try searching for something more current instead of complaining about what I do.
And just for the record, news is news regardless of when it came out.
Wow! You just keep adding to your post. What's this your third revision? When I first read it all it said was "Why do you keep reading them?" I guess your sitting there stewing and thinking of things you could say back to me.

If you're going to contrubute contribute something worthwhile. With the news hounds around here posting week old articles is worthless.

I'm going back to see if you issued your 4th revision.

Although most people have never seen a $10000 bill they are still legal tender. I suppose that the same will happen with the 25000 dinar bill.

Yes, I'd rather not waste my time scrolling through garbage. Pretty much like this conversation has become.

I knew that someone would get nervous about using the word "retire". This simply means that as the larger notes circulate back to the CBI, they will not re-issue them. Since iraq is a cash based economy, expect this retirement to take place over a very long period of time. There will be no "set date" that they (large denoms) have to be turned it. So relax, it will be a "fluid" process and painless. Thank You

Agreed, although they're trying to move away from a cash based society and will do in time.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.
