If the dinar were revalued to 1 US dollar, Iraq would be able to purchase ALL the products and services produced by the largest economy in the world the US economy in one swoop. Another interesting FACT, the USA currently produces 8 million barrels of oil per day almost three times the amount of Iraq.

    Some additional mathematics:
Iraq oil production 3,000,000 barrels day X $60 per barrel equals $180 million per day. Times 365 days a year equals 65 billion per year. They just edged out the sales at Microsoft for the year. I'm sure Bill Gates is very upset.

Can we draw some logical conclusions from this data that would indicate the actual value of a Dinar?

Based on this information the US has about 1/4 of it's GDP in moneys in the market. If we take this ratio 1/4 of the Iraq economy, 23 billion dollars and divide it by 14 Trillion dinar you get 0.001642. At his exchange rate 1 Million Dinar would be worth $1642 about double it current value.

    DOES THIS MAKE SENSE?

Iraqi presidency : accept some of the recommendations of the Commission on Baker. Reservations and the other
    London : contagious Fayadh
Said Kamran Qarah temple spokesman for Iraqi President Jalal Talabani that «it is difficult to give President Talabani public opinion in general and specific recommendations of the Baker Hamilton There are some recommendations in line with the Iraqi position and acceptable to us, and there are reservations on some of the recommendations».
He added Qarah temple of the Middle East »« on the phone from his office in Baghdad yesterday that the subject of extradition «security file to the Iraqis is the demand of Iraqi often called Iraq of its sovereignty over this file, and that the report's recommendations in this aspect was consistent with the Iraqi position».

Asked about the report, the possibility of pressure on the Iraqi government, said the spokesman for the Iraqi president, said that «the Iraqi government does not accept any pressure and there is no justification for the pressure, and President Talabani is part of the Iraqi government, which was elected by the Iraqi people and the government of national unity representing all segments of society, and there is a political process and the parliament, this is no reason to put pressure on such a government».

He considered Qarah tap-tap, Spokesman for the President Talabani, that the theme of the dialogue with Syria and Iran the oldest Iraq it before it comes in the recommendations has visited the Iraqi President and the Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki, Speaker of the House of Deputies Mahmoud Almshahadani Iran and there is nothing to prevent a dialogue with Syria. Iraq welcomes any dialogue is ongoing with the brothers and friends from the neighboring countries or territory », he said, pointing out that« Iraq rejects any dialogue addressing their issues, is not a existed and, if wanted the United States to hold any dialogue about Iraq That would be the existence of Iraqis, and not behalf of them ».

As far as what was stated in the report about the need for the central government be strong and subject dependencies, the spokesman for the Iraqi president that «President Talabani is the President of the Republic has vowed to protect the Constitution, which Astafti by the Iraqi people was approved, this rejects President any step contradict or overlap with the articles of the Constitution», alluding to the subject of the Territories stated in the Constitution was approved, and Iraq is a federal state could not put any recommendations contrary to the Iraqi constitution ».

While I am not predicting any levels, especially a 1 to 1 relationship. We can make a statement that the dinar is/has been a very undervalued currency. Thank you for your post.
