One person asked me if I thought what was more important, the rise in the exchange rate or the removal of the dinar from the economy. Based on my understanding of quantity money theory, it is the removal of the dinar that will EVENTUALLY bring the largest gains to us as investors. How much they intend to take out, 1.5 or 2 Trillion, we will never know until after the fact. But they do have the currency reserves to make either move. If the last reports are correct and they have 14 Billion (not to mention GOLD), then they have the "punch" to reduce the money suppy to almost any level they want. But, this process can't go on forever. There are other factors influencing this process. In removing the currency, they are not allowing any dinar to in the economy, raising interest rates will have an effect on the money supply (although over a longer period of time), increasing GNP even by a couple of percentage points during this time will "absorb" dinar, increasing demand from the iraqi people and the tendency to save dinar that is increasing in value, and increasing oil money. All of these have a culminating effect to bring inflation under control and increase the value of the dinar. So, its all good for us. Let them take as much dinar out of the economy as possible, that is actually want we really want to see continue happening at this time. Thank You.

Just reminding everyone: Tomorrow is Dec 11 , 06.
Bush has taken 3 days at the White House to take care of the Iraq problem.

    The rumour:
"I have a question, has anyone heard of CHK stock from Canada ? The reason I ask, is the guy that told me awhile ago to invest in it, also told me about the Dinar over a year ago. Anyway he has said that Dec 11- 14- 06 the Dinar will R/V. I sure hope he is right.
    Thanks"

    and an article:

...."Gathering parliamentary bloc, the Supreme Council and the Islamic alliance and the outcome of the recommendations of the Baker begin to surface
    بغداد - الصباحBaghdad-Sabah
Observers began to see the initial results of the recommendations of the Baker off the political momentum and widespread. While diverted the White House three days for the benefit of Iraq, political sources leaked that President Bush drew three options to speed up the resolution of crisis situations, in the radio speech, Bush said yesterday : that there are certain things that are pressuring the administration pressing for a change in American policy.

BAGHDAD, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Iraq's president said on Sunday he rejected a long-anticipated list of recommendations by the bipartisan Iraq Study Group to change U.S. policy in the region.

"I think the Baker-Hamilton report is unfair and unjust," Jalal Talabani, a Kurd, told a news conference at his Baghdad residence. (There goes the 10% theory, thank goodness. Even Talabani knows 10% won't help his country!!!)

"It contains very dangerous articles that undermine the sovereignty of Iraq and its constitution," he said.

The report by the Iraq Study Group, led by former U.S. Secretary of State James Baker and Democrat Lee Hamilton, urged more centralised control of Iraq's vast oil wealth and embedding thousands more U.S. advisers in Iraq's security forces.
    There goes the munny model.
“Don't be distracted by criticism. The only taste of success some people have, is when they take a bite out of you.”
