Can't help it... Since I am blessed to be educated with a ton load of common sense, pursue the logical always, my gut tells me that this info was not meant to be made public & is a play on words (typical, as is all things Iraqi). For what Iraq has & what is currently being peddled as an exchange rate is utterly beyond ridiculous for starters.

Plus, how many people throughout the world right now are making a killing off of Iraq? The privileged few? Powers to be? If anyone expects for me to think otherwise they can kiss my backside.

So, think about all of this folks. With the caliber of intelligence, common sense & logic that prevails on this forum only, we'll know the truth soon enough.

Iraq Reconstruction in Brief


Iraqi School Renovations Nearly Complete
The Gulf Region Division has completed 99 percent of planned school renovations. Under the Iraq Relief and Reconstruction Fund, 807 school renovations have been completed to date and one is under construction. Three new school projects were recently awarded but have not yet started. Under the Development Fund for Iraq program, 29 additional school renovations have been completed. These projects will provide improved school facilities for over 320,000 students.

Bridge Project in Qadisiyah Completed

Construction of the Al Hamza Bridge project ($738,000) in Qadisiyah Province has been completed. In addition to providing invaluable access arteries to vital throughout the province, this project will also help restore regional security.

Nasiriyah Water Treatment Plant Safety Record

The contractor Fluor/AMEC has worked over 4.5 million man hours on the Nasiriyah Water Treatment Plant without a safety related injury.

Small Potable Projects Produce Large Results

Six Small Scale Potable Water projects were completed in Al Anbar Province. The completion of these projects will supply fresh water for over 10,000 people in the region.

Two Agricultural Projects Completed

Construction is complete on two agricultural building projects in Ninewa Province –the Ag Nimrud Building ($103,000) and the Ag Al-Qosh Building ($95,000). The buildings serve as compounds for the city of Nimrud and the city of Al-Qosh’s Agriculture departments. Each project consisted of constructing an administration building, a storehouse, a guardhouse, and a perimeter wall.
