Name : Sharif cabinet reshuffle should be on the basis of competence and professional
Al-Hamad of Zahi
Baghdad - (Voices of Iraq)
قال باسم شريف عضو مجلس النواب عن حزب الفضيلة اليوم الاحد إنه يجب أن يكون التغيير الوزاري المرتقب على أساس الكفاءة والمهنية.
The Sharif News Agency (Voices of Iraq) Independent Virtue Party demand that the cabinet reshuffle qualitative and comprehensive and radical in order to be able to provide interest to the Iraqis.
He pointed out that most Iraqi ministries did not provide little to the Iraqi people in spite of the shortage of material available.
He called Sharif all the political blocs to expedite the submission of names of candidates for ministerial posts explaining that the subject had taken much more than it deserves.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki announced earlier that he intends to make adjustments in the ministerial ranks of his government to improve its performance.

Interesting,
What I find most interesting with polls is the absense of demographics. In short, I bet they polled only Bathists, or Suni's, or those in Baghdad for fear to leave the safety zone. What a joke, so slanted it is hardly worth a read, but thanks for posting it. And yes, no $10K yet, so I am sure this would slant poll results as well. Polls can be made to read any which way you want them to read, it all depends on the results you want. LOL
Happy Holiday Season to all, Mike

WOW, WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!! I have to say, that all along I have been waiting for a magical day....i.e. the RV day. Similar to winning a sweepstakes, or the lottery. When I read today, that the dinar went up 11 points..then shortly thereafter all of the great posts...including the one quoted by Mr.Knowles....It came to me that the RV has happened, it happened today...last week...last month...and will CONTINUE to happen until a suitable rate for the country's wealth. Not to mention a suitable rate for me to hire that nanny, I have been wanting!!! lol lol
It's amazing to me that people have already made profits. If Adster wanted out now, he made an easy eighty bucks. A few months ago started the rv...and it is a FACT that it is happening a lot faster than the naysayers claimed it would!!!
I still think that we may see some robust jumps...and some small ones as well. But what an AMAZING feeling that in the next year my financial life is about to change in extremes!!!
Thanks to all of my new friends here at RolClub, you all are terrific!!!!!
Melissa
I have the need to throw some of these around......

Simple but brillant. I too have worked with CPAs and you are very right, they don't like changes in the middle of a term. This idea keeps things very simple. It also allows the CBI to continue to get people used to the idea that the dinar is appreciating and allows them to continue to remove more currency in the short term. Like you, if I was them, then this is the time to make the adjustment. Thank You.

From another forum, an email sent to Warka with reply...
Here is my email:
Thank you Mr. Ixxx. Do you know if foreigners will be investing in the ISX on January 8th?
I thought that the Financial Investment Law for Iraq was enacted a week ago.
Also do you know if the 10,000 dinars that was supposed to be given to the Iraqi people by the
government is still going to be given? Do you know when?
All the best,
xxxxxxxxxx
Here is his response:
Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
Until now the foreign investment law has not yet been enacted and implemented. Foreign investors are still not permitted to purchase stocks directly from the ISX in their names. I was personally present in the
last trading session and no procedures have been issued regarding this matter as the law has not yet been made available. We are just as eager to see the law put into official practice to serve our foreign clients best interests. I will keep you well posted and updated with any new developments regarding this matter.
This amount of 10000 dinars has not been given out yet and I doubt the Iraqi people would accept such an amount which represents a few dollars as one would accept a much greater amount as we hold the second largest oil reserve in the world and we are one of the richest countries in the region. Â We hope everyday the peace, stability and prosperity will flourish this country and that the Iraqi people get rewarded accordingly for all the hardship endured.
 Â
Best and kind regards,
Mxxxxxx K. Ixxxx
Manager
International Foreign Relations Dept.May the New Year bring hope & prosperity to all Iraq and for all of us!
God bless our soldiers and bring them home safe.

Susie's Newsweek Post
In one of Susie's posts she appends an article in Newsweek International
(December 25th - January 1, 2007 edition) written by Silvia Spring in which the headline reads:
"In what might be called the mother of all surprises, Iraq's economy is
growing strong, booming in places."
Here is a news flash for Newsweek, Time, The New York Times and others -
the only reason that this economic strength is a "surprise" is that you have
completely ignored any good news in Iraq (including but not limited news about the Iraqi economy), for the last three and ahalf years.
Query - I wonder why this "surprise" wasn't published in September or October, 2006. It's hardly anything new. We Rolclub members knew about it long ago.
"Mother of all surprises" indeed!!!!
Thank you, Susie.

I think this is HUGE!! In a round-about way he's hinting it will come after a reval. He isn't saying that its not going to happen.Looks like 2007 then-just days away!!
