Dinar Owner
Great post Mike. Backed with facts and all, this is so true. This is why so many of us hate our own US Government. Give us our money back then.

What Does The US Get Out Of It?
Hey Mike,
I can't help but wonder how all the money the US doles out in foreign aid helps the US. I mean, why would they give away so much if there was not some benifit in doing so. Not that the US must always expect something in return for charitable contributions like when they send huge relief aid to hurricane, flood and earthquake victims around the world but this seems more like it's supposed to be different than that. More like hey, we will help you with that but you must help us with this kind of thing. So, what is the US supposed to get for all that they do or am I just not getting this whole foreign aid business?

7 Lesser Iraq Insurgent Groups Seek Truce
By SAMEER N. YACOUB , 06.26.2006, 08:00 AM
Seven Sunni Arab insurgent groups have contacted the government to declare their readiness to join in efforts at national reconciliation, a key Shiite legislator said Monday.
The seven lesser groups, most of them believed populated by former members or backers of Saddam Hussein's government, military or security agencies, have said they want a truce, Hassan al-Suneid, a lawmaker and member of the political bureau of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's Dawa Party, told The Associated Press.
Al-Maliki unveiled his 24-point national reconciliation initiative on Sunday, offering amnesty to insurgents who renounce violence and have not committed terrorist attacks.
"To those who want to rebuild our country, we present an olive branch," al-Maliki told applauding lawmakers. "And to those who insist on killing and terrorism, we present a fist with the power of law to protect our country and people."
The reconciliation plan won the endorsement of the senior Sunni political figure in parliament.
"In the name of Iraqi Accordance Front, I support and agree with this initiative and call upon all Iraqis to support it because it will be the first step toward security, stability and the building of a new Iraq," said Adnan al-Dulaimi, whose organization represents the three key Sunni political parties in parliament.

Iranian, Iraqi businessmen sign $1b agreement
TEHRAN – The agreements signed between Iranian and Iraqi businessmen hit one billion dollars. The accords were reached during the course of an exhibition of the Iranian goods and products held in Irbil, Iraq.
Over 90 percent of the firms and companies that took part in the exhibition succeeded in signing trade agreements with the Iraqi side or managed to grant licenses for the production of their products in the neighboring country, the Persian service of Fars News Agency said.
The eye-catching volume of the agreements reached during the exhibition is indicative of the success of such trade fairs held abroad, the report noted.

Not sure if we've had this, but looks like new coins/notes will be introduced. Good news as they're small ones, ideal for a r/v. Have heard rumours of these being in-country but noone has seen them ou ton the streets as of yet, maybe soon....
This article is since August 06, 2005, but has good information

So Adster, are these smaller notes/coins in circulation now? I thought I read somewhere that somebody got somew of the coins? Maybe I'm hallucinating again.. Seems to me the would be no point in printing/coining them unless a reval is coming..what would be the point of such small denominations otherwise?! Oh peg, where art thou?
