I have a good question for you!

Why can't we just open a Bank account (in USD ) w/CBI or the Warka bank.

This way, your Dinars is right there, in and from Iraq.

Then you can make a w/d in USD (when the rate is up. )

This could be done but there are ways you have to go about it which to be honest I'm not too up to date on as it's not something that interests me. But some have done it. You might be best emailing or calling Warka Bank and ask what they need etc....

IMO once the Dinar pegs, most Western Banks will be exchanging them so you'll be able to do exchange them this way. That's what I'll be doing.

This has never happened before, where all this debt under former Saddam rule are being wiped clean by all the major lenders to Iraq, so imagine what a boost this will give Iraq for a solid economic rebound. With all the speculation, this has been more fun than reading the speculation on PIPS. (g)

One of the other forums is starting to get interesting input, so with what we are hearing, the lottery drawing date looks like it will be sooner, rather than later for us. As everyone knows who plays lottery, you have to be in it to win it, and with many dealers running out of dinar, I think the time has come to either get in or cry over not putting a few hundred into dinar.

Here are two other good reasons as to why some would rather open bank
accounts directly in Iraq:

-JUST IN CASE, the NEW Iraq govern. decides to change/remake Iraq currency,
your 'money'/credit/funds will automatically still be good (transfered to the new
currency. )

-The big reason here: You would get the FULL Iraq value for each USD
( approx. 1,472 NID's, now ) that you deposit into your bank account.
If you buy Dinars from Amer. dealers, you only get approx. 1000 NID's per 1 USD
(like the rate at FreeDinar.com )
Do you all SEE WHAT YOU ALL ARE LOOSING ? You are loosing 472 Dinars for
every 1 $ you buy/spend, at most Amer. Dealers.

Only thing I would say is that it is highly unlikely for them to change the currency. Billions was spent on the current one which is now used across the whole of Iraq and it would make no sense in bringing in a new currency. Remember this one has only been around for 2 years since Saddam.

In time this will be exchangeable in any Western Bank. But, you have nothing to lose in what you're doing, good luck to you matey!
