Susie...whats your take on the "official gazette" being down for days? If these laws get enacted and the site is still down, will they announce them in another gazette do you think or wait for the gazette to come back up?

i think the gazette is down because they are putting these laws on there and of course wont put it back up until they are darn good and ready to start things up. they wont put the fil or the hcl on there prematurely. im sure when it comes back up you will see everything weve been waiting on.

Naaaa... can't agree with this. The Gazette is published in paper form and then the laws are scanned to PDF and placed on the server. No need for the server to be down this long because they are secretly placing the laws, takes ten minutes to scan and upload, this same thing was assumed when the CBI went down and that was all speculation as well.
Also if the law publishing was the reason they could simply have taken the Iraq Law subfolder offline and left the main site to avoid this type of speculation.

My opinion, technical, DNS problems.

While I wish it was what sgs said, I have to agree with you. Sometimes we see what we want to see, not what it really is.

Another thought to this is that the Ministery of Oil was on the same url ....com/oil - since the oil is going to a different form that may also have something to the website being down.

Nice try but it won't wash. You don't have to take down the whole site to change something. For links that aren't ready, you just put up a page saying, "Not now, dear, I have a headache". The rest of the site is unaffected.
