Has anyone heard anymore on this subject? I know OSW's kurd contacts have proven reliable in the past, but do we know anymore now since several hrs have now gone by? Not saying anyone is right or wrong, its just kurd contacts I do not have.

SGS's post about the CBI is one of the most important posts of the day. As well as one that stated that the UAE was converting a major portion of their foreign currency holdings from dollars to Euros. Look at what they are saying at the CBI. They have pledged to meet the demand for foreign currency without limit and regardless of the quantities. Foreign currency, not dinars. We all hold dinars, when we turn them in, we are in essence demanding payment in foreign currency, DOLLARS. They have pledged to meet all demands for foreign curency. Also they are stating that they will hold the rate at the level that it is on the 7th of Jan for subsequent days. In other words for the immediate future or for the foreseable future. This means they won't let the value plummet when their is a rush of dinars on the market being exchanged for dollars or whatever. THIS IS BIG !!

Second issue, UAE converting dollars for Euros. Again, another assult on the dollar. IMO, it won't be a good idea to convert all your dinars into dollars right at first. As the Euro is building in strength, it would be wise to hold some of your assets in Euros instead of all dollars. See you in the morning.

Here's an update from NJ-ordered 650,000.00 dinar from my usual CHASE bank. The total was $517.66 and the rate was .00079640. They will call me to pick up when they come in. They asked me what kind of notes (large or small) I said small. We'll see what happens. We'll keep you posted. Good Luck everybody.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but... For those of us who have ordered from Chase, I know when I first started there, I asked for small denoms and only got 25k's my last to orders have been 10k and under, and I have seen others report similar. I am not 100% sure where the Chase dinar originates from, but it has been discussed that after a reval the large notes would be pulled from circulation, is it at all possible, that the 25k notes are becoming more scarce? If they (CBI) plan to pull the from circulation, would it make sense that they stop putting them out there. And before someone says I got 25k notes from my dealer, that doesn't matter. Deales buy in huge bulk, so they would have those already
