I think the "Market Rates" referred to in earlier posts are the actual "markets" physically trading the Dinar. That is places like SafeDinar and the myriad of other Dinar Dealers who have been actively trading the Dinar, including the dealers on the streets. It's those "Markets" that I am looking at. And by recent accounts, the market is RED HOT

Yes, the CBI posts the "Official Rate" and you can take that one to the bank (pardon the pun).

But the emerging markets, whether it's on the streets in Iraq or at your favorite Online Retailer, are where there is no disputing the fact that the Dinar has suddenly (in the last two months) taken off!

I'm no expert, but the CBI seems to be gauging it's moves based on what it sees in these "test markets".

you had me until you used online retailer and current dinar dealers as examples, and pun away, it made me laugh.

actually there is no difference between walmart.com and safedinar, except walmart buys a pair of jeans for 5.00 and sells them for 29.99, safedinar buys a mill of dinar for 750 and sells it for 950, and while i agree dinar sales are probably heating up, that isn't really a good way to measure true value. i also agree with you that this is a start, but was making the point that the only beneficial exchange rate posted is the CBI rate. places like safedinar dont "trade" currency, they retail it.

anyway, i wanted to respond to that post because i think people are too quick to jump on people for requesting accurate information to be posted. it was making the conclusion that Oanda is posting a "market" rate when in fact it isn't, as justification for why arbitrary exchange rates like Oanda and Yahoo should be posted here.

when it is all said and done and the rate gets to where i want it to be to sell my dinar to the bank, the rate i am going to get is the rate which will be controlled/set by the CBI for quite sometime in the future, minus the spread at the bank. that is all i was saying, and agreeing with the point made by someone that got jumped for questioning posting numbers that have no basis.

NEWSWIRE AL-ARIBYA REPORTING SADDAM HUSSEIN HAS BEEN EXECUTED.....I personally am ecstatic....may he never rest in peace JMHO!!!!

Al-Aribya reporting that he was executed between 5:30 am 6:00 am. They also are reporting that there are celebrations going on in SADR CITY......

I went to the chase branch here in arizona and ordered 500,000 for my brother and the rate was .00078250 because he is in conneticut and from what he told me was that the only way fro him to get some was to drive to NY and it is a 50/50 chance they even have some. so i just got it for him here in arizona today the 29th of December
