Looking at some web sites (www.iraq.org), under Announcaments I read the following quote.

"Tender N0. (12/2006)
The Central Bank of Iraq invites all professional and Specialized Companies to participate in the above mentioned tender related to supplying computor, printer and (UPS) according to conditions and specifications that can be obtained from the Procurement Management Division within a period of Twenty eight days of publishing the announcement. The close date of 2/1/2007."

Just asking what this means, they mention announcement and tender...got my mind wondering what this is.....any help out there????

Only thing that I can think of is that it is must to withdraw as much money as they can from circulation.

After that we must see the real exchange rate and with HCL/FIL/ICI it must be very very very soon and in my opinion this month!

I have asked myself one question over the last couple of months over and over. Since economics is the "dismal" science, and not an exact one, "What if they have removed too much money from the economy"? Any comments?

these mean that they are going out for "bid". Any company can send in a bid for supplying computor, printers, etc. The close date to get your company bid in is Jan. 2, 2007. Then they will probably give the contract to the "lowest bidder".
