but the current conditions in the country and the need of the Iraqi economy to increase the value of the dinar have forced the bank to achieve balance in the market and increase the value of the dinar until the security and economic conditions stabilize and Iraq gradually turns to the free market system.
What this says is they will increase the value of the dinar to a hard peg and then once the economy and security is much better they will release it to a float to grow as fast as the economy grows.
Not long to go. If you want to order Dinars then best think about making it within next couple of months or it may be too late IMO.
I was holding out to order another 2 million. This and a couple of other things have swayed me to order immediately.

Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Why is it a joke then? Hmmm, let me think, maybe you think it could be a scam? the whole Iraq situation that is in the news 24/7, in the papers, tv could be a scam?

I have been talking to my broker about this and he told me to go ahead if I wanted to go broke.
I am not saying it is a scam Adster, but I think anyone who gets involved in this will lose their money.....unless they are looking for some toilet paper!
Just my opinion.
The joke isnt on me, I choose not to take part in it, how is the joke on me?

Hi all-
This is our first post - I am a bit dubious about investing in anything to do with Iraq, no matter how good it sounds - simply because the USA needs their oil to prop up its own almost collapsing economy. Until it attains possesion of that, it will be floundering. The ongoing debt with the current climatic changes hitting the south of the USA makes the whole situation more unstable - WORLDWIDE. Terrorists claim they will keeep the Iraq war going until the Western economy collapses; as it's infringing on their personal rights to live as they believe is in accordance with their Muslim religion ( and if we truly believe in the right to 'freedom of religion and speech' we should allow them to do as they please - in peace. )
If the USA goes under, so will everyone else, as it is all linked. China is buying up USA debt left right and centre, to help stabilize their own and the USA economy - but at the same time China is actually gaining more and more control of the world's industry and wealth and hence becoming a threat to the USA economy. As gold in in such short supply worldwide - Oil ( or black gold ) is the new currency everyone wants to invest in - unless they tyotally decide to create money out of nothing. The USA is now wanting Africa's Oil as well as that in the antartic and Alaska; but China holds a large part of Africa's Oil already - I can see a war starting here with China and the USA if we are not careful. Personally I feel - While terrorism is a magor issue world wide - Iraq is too unstable to invest in period. They sent in companies to cash in on the rebuilding program only to have many latter pull out, because of the wholesale slaughter of their employees by terrorist groups. The middle east wants The USA, Britain and Australia out of Iraq - period - and until that happens, we are a target. The only company that's benefiting in this war are Bush's mates in Haliburton with their weapons manufacturing program and Oil tycoons on the stockmarket or within OPEC. Even the USA soldiers in IRaq are saying different things to the USA government. It's not a bed of roses there. Iraq DOES NOT want to change to a western culture as it is seen as Satanic and against its religious ideals. What Iraqui people say to the USA government and what they do in reality are two totally different stories - and the USA Government ( along with our own ) are too blind to see it. For what its worth - my due diligence is with awareness of world events and the negative personal effect the Globilisation is having on everyone. You do with your money what you wish. Regards
