With oil production at or above 3 million bpd, they could also adjust things with the sale price of oil. The GoI has many relief valves at its disposal.

I quit trying to guess their next move a long time ago. Im just sitting here debating adding another 3 mil to my collection to put me just under 15 mill holding. I can afford it if the rate will pay out inside of six months otherwise I find myself getting stretched thin again.

Oz, while I agree with the bulk of your post, I can in fact see them pulling an excess out of circulation before a Reval. My thought is they can control the amount anytime they wish and can in fact re-introduce currency anytime they chose. By way of the 10k hand-out, business loans, grants and the such. This would then give them total control of currency in circulation. While this is only my opinion, maybe Mr. Knowles could assist us in this. I especially like the part of your post I high lighted. I think that says it for most of us.

Hello EVERYONE. NO NO I DO NOT THINK OF IT AS DEFLATION OR RECESSION. It will be a monetary miscaluation by the CBI that will result in less dinar in the economy and with all of the demand pressures, THE PRICE WILL GO SKY HIGH. I love all of you and have a good evening! Knowles

Hi Mab71, thanks for the 'thanks' posts. I would like to take exception to one assertion you made, "economics is the "dismal" science,". This could only be so if you enter its study expecting to be able to enter some numerical value of its aspects into a calcualtor and get a sum. It isn't that way. It is a science that involves people's emotions and 'gut' feelings. It involves the weather and who is president and why and ...

IMHO, In the long run you cannot remove too much money from an economy. The fraud perpetrated by our authorities is that there is no inflation if the monetary (M2 for us econ nerds) growth equals GDP growth. This is a fraudulant way to excise a tax on Americans. If there was no magical money growth to pace gdp growth, your dollar would be becoming more valuable every day. If you were to reduce the amount of money in circulation, you would simply increase the purchasing power of that which remained. When there isn't enough state isssued currency to go around, take a look at what post WWI Germany did when the various states, municipal principalities and free states did when they issued their own. Both the South and the North had states and banks issuing their own fractional currency when the need obtained.

I always wondered about those days when the CBI both bought and sold dinar to participating banks. Is it possible that they were buying large denoms and selling small denoms?

I agree that small denoms would be the tip off, and that is why I think we haven't heard a peep about them. I imagine that they are already in the banks, just waiting in the wings for their big debut!

.And on the economic level the challenges facing the bourses at the 2007 much more that the longer or countless True enough, that the prices of the shares according to analysts and finance experts, arrived in of osteoporosis and expectation General as a whole tends to these higher prices only these are matters which must of their introduction into account and including that the general impression that all the shares in each BOURSES cheap and suitable for procurement is the impression is inaccurate ponder the on the grounds that that there of loss-making companies what is tantamount to half its nominal value are still within the circle of the shares which superiority of their prices logistical value of fair as well as the presence of many other challenges of vulnerability of noticeable change in the standards the government and transparency and companies sans the assets of nor projects nor expansions quoted in international stock by being the shares, popularity and other such dependency companies non-investment on the profits non-operational as well as the presence of dose political redundant in economic decision especially in the Gulf States and Ascending non-natural in the prices of the real estate in the Arabian Gulf States.
    ما مضىLook to the past
.Cyclones lean months minds, as long as investors chased by nightmares, broken Samman days ago. Not negligible, which lost of lost, which profit from the profit. Now that everything has to Mmuta Arab bourses papers in 2006, leaving scars in the hearts of many. But it also left a good memory of some of those who have been fortunate enough ... The final outcome was almost clear for all ... ' In 2006 handmaiden unusually rainy. The harsh economic and clouded in the trading halls. The warm winter trying to be somewhat markets to be happy with their investors after a year was more bitter. There inside rooms circulation Arab bourses was meeting with the first day of the past year 2006, the day amid warm winter beautiful. Trust merged with optimism. He has taken the confidence of the public which his predecessor ... Undoubtedly, most of the Arab markets in 2006 at heights of great not seen before. Browning did not know how to indicators. فاللون Green dominated all. Suddenly, and without any introductions. With the onset of summer Belfhat sense of the Holocaust. Ahmert indicators and prices tumbled. And pelted the summer Investors Arab markets barrage of heavy losses that were not invited or green pineapple and behind only Gent on it. The dark days were launched in March left their mark even before the end of the year a few days ... Returning winter days, carrying with them some hope in the new heights offset some losses months long lean and make them happy in the harsh all.
.Talk is not exaggerated, as some people might think. What happened in Arab stock at the beginning of this past year was very strange. A huge rises recorded by the shares of Arab markets, all indicators in the months of January and February, the shares rose rates exceeded the 150% even thought of thought that the market (going) and jumped to the highest indicators for points beyond the great support and achieve record numbers. But with the advent of March started waving signs of correcting. The remedy that month prices tumbled dramatically to lose all the shares of Arab markets - without exception-figures that exceeded 170% in some of its value.
ما ربحته.When for-mm mortar shells in 2005 his cards left Arab capital markets high rates significantly had not been foreseen For instance closed the most of Arab bourses, high by rates exceeded the 300% pound, furthermore, the Saudi closed off the in 2005 high a rate of 200% and the Kuwaiti market a rate of 179% and the Dubai market, ended the year high 284% and the Egyptian market risen by 245%, and as soon ended the markets that year on these exorbitant rises income by more new investors, and has emerged where the phenomenon of 'Investment the herd', and here and arrived rises in the first months of 2006 has reached unimaginable levels, began to emerge some of the terminology-market such as' of bubbles the Gulf and 'the uncontrollability of prices' indicates that the came days the lean which began in March and then lost stock the Arabs twice what Rbhth.
    البورصة المصريةEgyptian Stock Exchange
.Perhaps the Egyptian Stock Exchange, is the hardest hit among the rest of Arab bourses in the past year. After rises in the indices at the end of 2005, which arrived during case30 index to about 8000 points in the month of December of 2005 investors started Arabs and foreigners as well as Almassereion in rushing to enter into deals purchasing a huge market within the corridors of the Egyptian rooms, and full brokerage companies in Egypt with clients, and borrowed some of the banks to receive Pkakh gain rapid market ... But the famous saying 'durability case of the assignee' and unfortunately applied to the Egyptian market for the securities, and came the correction that some said they expected, others said it abrupt, and others attributing it to the manipulation of some companies in the market and speculators.
وعلى .In any event was March of 2006 black months by all means, the shares of the Egyptian market and its investors on Tuesday, 14 of this month witnessed a downward movement indicators resonant made some lose half its capital once, and some investors took heart Bouts lives, and some called for the overthrow of President of the Stock Exchange and the Chairman of the General Authority for the capital market.
.In terms of total transactions related Egyptian bourse has witnessed this past year (2006) transactions related reasonable somewhat, but was much lower than the previous year (2005), After the transactions recorded average close to a billion pounds per day, returned in 2006 to achieve an average weak did not exceed 600 million pounds, barely, except in the weeks deals known as a sale Bank of Alexandria at the end of the year or the deal of selling shares of Vodafone in August.
    البورصة السعوديةSaudi Stock Exchange
.The Stock Exchange of more Saudi Arab bourses, which Gent to investors in 2006 has witnessed the loss of a very big and downs throughout its history has not witnessed before, having started at the general index reached 16712 points these days to about 7900 points loss over 55%, although it was the end of 2005 had risen by about 200%. The largest recorded on the Saudi bourse great loss was the sixth of May, where the index by about 9.6%, while the largest increase in 13 of the same month, the market rose by 9.8% but the outcomes of the retreat, which varied between 4 to 5% throughout the year made the Saudi market end the year end tragically.
.And the unexpected returned to the Saudi market as a result of some positive ascending market and the increase in financial promises, which amounted to about 9 subscriptions in the three months, as well as changing the head of the Capital Market Authority and the Saudi announcement by some officials in the government of Saudi princes intent on pumping some of the funds to exit the market from the bottleneck.
    البورصة الكويتيةThe Kuwaiti Stock Exchange
كانت % فقط.The Kuwaiti bourse was more fortunate than other Arab bourses, which did not lose a lot in comparison to other, the index began in 2006 at 11447 points and Anhah at around 10029 points, a fall of about 14% only.
سهم .Experts agreed that the main causes that have made market losses Kuwaiti few compared with the rest of the Arab markets is that the officials in Kuwait (as posted) immediately rushed the other hand, mid-March to change the Chairman of the Stock Exchange and the introduction of new mechanisms serve the market and stand on the application as well as the Kuwaiti market is considered one of the least markets in the number of investors and companies, and therefore Vkhsaerh not considerable ability compared to the losses of Arab stock markets. It is noteworthy that the average market transactions related Kuwait during 2006 amounted to about 155 million shares.
    سوق دبي الماليDubai Financial Market
11% .Not the Dubai market, the financial UAE isolation from the rest of other markets although it is most likely to shift investors in particular, that market forces work by the World experts, but the losses were medium somewhat in the past year (2006), has initiated signaling year in January to 7829 points and Anhah the 4162-point loss over 46%, as on March 14 the biggest losses as evidence of Egypt, where shut down time of about 11%.
ويقول .Observers say the markets Emirates (Dubai-Abu Dhabi) they managed during the last year of the amounts of liquidity from outside the state especially from the Gulf Cooperation Council states through large investments and disbursements investors from the Gulf, at the forefront of Saudi investors in their shares after local contractions stricken converts to the strategy 'regional market'.
النفط.Experts are likely to continue to Gulf stock markets in general and the UAE stock markets, in particular the achievement rises slightly beginning of the next year in 2007, but unconfirmed, particularly after some of the stages in the framework of a temporary price correction will be based on the expectations that the influx of huge amounts of liquidity to the Gulf economies due to the continued rise in oil prices.
    الأسهم القطريةShares country
تزايدت ر.The increased pace of declines in the shares of country more than a year ago in an accelerated manner. It was 2006 years sad to investors as is the case in other markets around the Gulf and Arab countries in general, where the gap continued to widen losses for the market and up to about 6800 points despite inception year when more than 8000 points so similar with the Egyptian market to a large extent.
.On the whole, the weak performance of the Doha Stock Exchange undue transactions during the past year, and was a source of bewilderment and surprise and concern of the bulk of the investors continue to wonder about the same time, which will drain the losses.
وما.The prices of shares of most companies touches levels retreat record and unprecedented to the extent that arrived with a decrease of the prices of some shares to more than 80% compared to the highest price achieved for the shares itself, which coincides with the lower figure for Bmkrr profitability of some of those shares - a positive indicator and attractive to buy-accompanied those factors also achieve corporate profits record and unprecedented also for the meeting of those facts to form attractive major purchase unparalleled.
.The managing director of the National Company for investment funds and capital markets expert Khalifa, the investors themselves for what happened to all the Arab exchanges of decline during the past year, pointing out that the policy of indiscriminate and dealings behind the bow speculation and quick gains were the biggest causes of setbacks suffered by most Gulf markets. This is due Dr. Essam Khalifa to emphasize that political events witnessed by the Arab region, such as the Lebanese war, as well as nuclear file to Iran and Syria represented, inter negative in the movement of Arab capital markets a whole, and added to its and burdens further concern especially among the foreign investors, adding that other factors, which negatively impacted in the performance of capital markets, factors which political and security in the region, particularly with regard to the file of Iran's nuclear program, where preferably businessmen to remain large part of their money cash Pending seen to the security situation, and may have played a refusal of DEAL Dubai Ports with the United States over a negative role from the psychological point of at least among the investors adults.
    توقعات لعام 2007Expectations for 2007
.Apart from this, and that is expected, Dr. Mohamed Saherjti expert Arab bourses to witness some of the 2007 events in the core economies of the Arab countries, specifically the Gulf states, in light of the rise of oil prices, which will affect positively on the share prices regulated AAA specifically, but to expect that the wave of volatility on the bourses, which now emerges the region since mid-July last until shortly before April.
ده.He said that the Egyptian markets and the Kuwaiti and UAE will witness fluctuations between high and low to be a good outcome, but he affirmed that the Saudi market will pass in retreat, a new no one will be led where.
.Saherjti and develop solutions for the control of the Arab stock exchanges, the first decline in non-professed policy of the herd in buying and selling, as well as attempt to persuade investors in every state that there was no relationship between the stock and other setbacks, especially if there is no great things, such as regional wars, for instance.
).Saherjti pointed to the need to educate investors, the seriousness of speculation and rapid trading, which may face the loss of such bouts witnessed by the market in mid-March of last year (2006).

    Default Question??
    ANOTHER QUESTION:

If the ISX goes international in APRIL, 2007 as indicated by their response to Inscrutable's inquiry (below) does this mean that a revaluation of the currency must wait and go hand-in-hand with the ISX's entry into the international trade or can the RV happen independently (months) ahead of the ISX joining the "world operations"?

    Inscrutable's Inquiry
    Dear Sir,
    Thank you for your time.
When do you expect the ISX to be indexed with the Dow Jones index n the United States. Is the Investment law hindering this move?
    Thank you.

    Reply from the ISX CEO
    Dear ---,
The BOG in ISX now, writing the trading rules for the F investors. I believe we will join the world operations after we finished the automation in April 007.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Back from a weeklongTexas vacation
, President George W. Bush wrestles with a decision on a new strategy for Iraq in the face of hostile Democrats in control of Congress and signs of growing unhappiness among some military personnel.

A day after the U.S. death toll in Iraq passed 3,000, the president and first lady Laura Bush arrived back in Washington on Monday afternoon from his Crawford, Texas, ranch. They stopped briefly at the White House before going to Capitol Hill where the body of former President Gerald R. Ford lay in state.
