    Wink

Hmmm in the words of my good friend offshore wealth, 'interesting'.

The US 'needs' Iraq to succeed, simple as that. The fact they have cancelled billions of dollars of debt as well as G8 including Britain and France and other leading countries points in the direction that they want Iraq to succeed. Why do the US want them to succeed? Well Bush needs it to survive politically. He will feel a lot more justified when the US claw back money from all the oil in the ground which Iraq has.

Iraq has to move forward to survive. They have to have a stronger Dinar to survive. They have the second largest oil fields in the world. They have a Constitution that has been approved and passed. The new government will be in place after the December elections. Billions of debt have been forgiven by leading countries including even Malta!, why? Because countries know they will get it back and more. The SBA will be put in place by the IMF at the end of the year because Iraq are meeting/will have met the criterias they have asked to be in place for them to approve a loan.

Sorry Kimlyn. I don't agree. A peg is the way forward for Iraq. As to what rate it will be, well who knows. I have my opinion but noone knows for sure.

Before the War the rate was around .33. If you look at other countries around there, all their rates are a lot higher than Iraq's.

    Just a matter of time....
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

    Hi Adster,
If the Iraq Dinar is such a hot commodity, why would anyone in the know be willing to sell it to you? If you thought that the IQD was going to multiply in worth by hundreds of thousands of percent, would you sell it? Of course not -- you'd be too busy buying as much of it as you could.
But if you thought that the IQD was going to go down in value over time, well, then you might start trying to convince people that it was a "great deal" so that you could get rid of all of yours before it nose dives.

Remember the old saying: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Be careful!

I thought that at first, and then realised that selling the Dinar is a good way of making money to buy more Dinar, if you see what I mean.

I'm sure they're making a good profit on it buy selling it now - which is a certain thing, not a possibl thing - and they can also stockpile their own personal supply with the money they make selling it.

I've ordered some as I'm sure it must be worth something - even if it's just a small increase. I think it's less risky than most HYIP's.

I was looking the other day at a forum that was set up specifically for the Dinar. It had some info on how to set up an Iraqi B/A. Anyone happen to recall that site?

I'll find it eventually, just thought I'd ask, might save some time, lol.

Thats what I'm thinking about doing is following the steps that are posted there and opening an account there. This way once it pegs I could just have them exchange the dinar to usd. Or at least thats the way I read it.

    Interesting,

That is what makes the world go around, some people sell, others buy, without this nothing would ever happen. No matter what investment we are looking at, they all are based on the same economics, but low, sell high, and those who are selling dinar are making money and isn't that why you are in this business?

I sell all the time, and the moment I do, I have already bought elsewhere for less than I just sold for, thereby growing my portfolio for the time it is pegged. Since no one knows when this will be, why sit on the sidelines and do nothing. We all know what doing nothing gets you, nothing. (g)

    Good luck to all, Mike
