Don't really ever post here too much , but I'm taking note today watching CNN Europe a couple of driving points mentioned that should really push for this REVAL of Iraqi Currency to jump start the economy.

It was reported that Iraq's economy is in a shambles and that many are looking for money by volunteering for planting these Roadside Bombs. The terrorists are cowards and I imagine there are very few brains left to devise schemes , so they hire and pay anyone to plant these bombs $500 to $1000 to plant the roadside explossion bombs. The people just desparately need the money.

The other point they made was this crisis with Belarus freezing Oil movement to the rest of Europe and Iraqi Oil looking better all the time as a replacement of Russian Oil. So things should be falling into place soon.

hmmm you all sure about that date for the anniversary ?? I sure thought the dinar was released in the fall of 2003. I could be wrong as i am way more than i like to be

This is my first post. I have been reading for a year and appreciate all of the GREAT info that is submitted by all of you.

I have been buying from Scotia Bank in Alberta and always have received my Dinar in 2 or 3 days. Yeasterday I purchased more and was phoned back by the branch where I purchased them and advised that it would take 2 or 3 weeks to fill my order and asked if I still wanted it.

I asked if I would get them and was told yes, just that they were currently out of stock. So it appears that supply is running out.

I thought the NEW Dinar was printed in Oct2003 and released after Jan2004.

The distribution started in October 2003 but the rate didn't become official till mid January 2004 when distribution was complete.

I don't know where they are coming from with this article vs. the apparantly different news that seems to be pouring out this week. Is this an older article or can you explain the apprarent discrepency with the other articles that are flowing out this week? How do you see 1200 dinar = 1 usd by mid year significantly helping the Iraqis economic situation? Do you believe this to be the case vs. what everyone else is woootttting about?

so what is that 100 dinar coin worth ? If 1315 is worth 1 dollar. I am not so sure how 100 or even 500 could help the economic situation in iraq. If you drop it 500 it still puts it at 800-1 not very competive in the worlds market and or in the middle east !
