The reason that George W. Bush insists that "victory" is achievable in Iraq is not that he is deluded or isolated or ignorant or detached from reality or ill-advised. No, it's that his definition of "victory" is different from those bruited about in his own rhetoric and in the ever-earnest disquisitions of the chattering classes in print and online. For Bush, victory is indeed at hand. It could come at any moment now, could already have been achieved by the time you read this.

Either Hassan Al-Sunaid is not the brightest bulb in the box or its one of a series of misinformative statements we can expect to see as this thing goes forward. 1200:1 does nothing for the people of Iraq. Plus there are too many statements to the contrary. Just roll with the punches.....
It seems that the state insists, or preserve the value of the Iraqi dinar 148 against the dollar ...Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states [ MOF Sept 2006]

    Thanks for your comments.

Everytime we move forward, it seems we get knocked back again. I am beginning to wonder if anyone over there even knows what is going on or speaks the truth about anything!!!??? You can't have it both ways and yet that seems to be the Iraqi intent. One minute it appears as though they get it and are going to r/v to a decent level. The next minute it is as if logic has escaped them once again and they act as though the previous 20 positive news articles filled with their own words (quoted none the less) were never spoken and if they were they didn't really mean it!!!

They know they have to r/v so instead of doing what is right and doing a bold adjust to the "real rate" they fack around (with the program rate which isn't even the real rate) with a dribble up here and a dribble up there.

Sssshhheessshhhh!!! They already know what to do, they already know that the dribble up method doesn't work, they have the enitire world pushing them to move ahead plus they (most of the whole world) are backing them to the max!!! And what is the Iraqi response?? Dribble, dribble, dribble!!! They always seem to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory every time!!!

It reminds me of the account of the mad Roman emporer Nero playing the fiddle while all of Rome was burning. I wonder sometimes if these guys get it?! Their entire country is at stake, their 80% pay raise is at stake, their very lives are at stake 'cause if this thing fails they could be dead men and women courtesy of the insurgency plus their own people who are sick and tired of waiting seemingly forever.

Yet half of them don't show up to work, and the other half are involved in some sort of militia or death squad!!!

OK , going to get a paper bag and start breathing in it now. In out, in out, in out, there I feel better!!!! Thanks putting up with the rant. I hope SGS's rumor comes to pass this week!!! Can you tell I'm stressed??!! It's ok though I'll pull through just fine. I always do.

Are we there yet? I'm getting really tired of waiting and I am getting wet from all of the dribbling. Come on you know it is the right thing to do for your country. R/V the thing in 1 large dramtic move to over 1 usd at least (1 sdr will be fine for a start) will ya?
