The CBI aren't stupid, the reason they are saying that it will go to $3.33 is that they know the smaller speculators like you and I and the rest of us will most probably offload between 50-75% of our dinars at 1:1. By saying it will get to a rate of $3.33 is putting out the vibes that people should hang onto their dinars and wait for it to reach that rate and thus not offload straight away so as not to drain the CBI reserves.

Must also remember which most people forget is that a.) if we cash in at our local bank at 1:1 our banks will keep hold of the dinars in anticipation of it going up further and hence not have to send them back and deplete the CBI's reserves. B.) for every dinar we cash in at say 1:1 major institutions out there, companies, even governments will be BUYING at 1:1 again with the anticiaption that it will rise to 2:1, 3:1 etc very quickly. C.) The CBI can r/v at whatever rate they like, they have the oil to back the dinars. Rather like you or I going for a big car loan, we might have to use our house as collateral if we've been bad in the past and have poor credit ratings. Iraq will do the same with their oil and will offset the dinars by using it's reserves.

It's a no lose situation. And no there will be no zero lopping!

All avenues are leading this way Raddy. The big meeting discussed in July I see as the pre dinar revelation to the world. With an 800:1 r/v in country at least their own people will be twice as well off initially. The richer ones of course will be 'minted' like we will be once it goes worldwide. :0)

Sorry guys, I had to go to bed but I didn't sleep. I am the worst when it comes to sleeping. My husband wants to send me to a clinic. Anyway, Adster, I think your idea is great. I was a little disappointed when I heard the Dr talking about internal 1,000 to 1, so if I understand you right, the internal value will be 800 to 1, and then come on the international market at 1:1. I feel alot better. Clueless, I totally agree with holding for the long haul. We were planning last night and we will cash only what is needed and wait. It is alot easier when your debt free. (by the way great bike and I will rent the movie) Thanks, I will be back this afternoon Janet

Welcome, this is the way I see it through reading, hearing, and watching. Personally I'd offload about 50% and wait for it to rise which it will inevitably. I believe with all the meetings/deals that Maliki is having with the Sunni leaders that the insurgencies will die down. Once this happens the rate will be as high as Kuwait's within 2-3 years IMO.
