"is important in this connection to take into account the study as a result of the decision dinar equal dollar repercussions on the local commercial transactions, and how to avoid any disruption to the transfers of traders and banks

Am I reading this correctly,.......That they believe dinar equal dollar could have repercussions to their commercial transactions.....?

Could this be a hold up or a "disruption" to the reval at 1:1. That whole article sounded pretty serious as to them considering the cons. Of course I would want them to do exactly that, cause it ain't just about me getting rich, but mainly about Iraq coming forth victorious.

Or are they just voicing their speculations and trying to keep it all balanced with both pros/cons?

My prayer is that the reval happen at a rate that "ALL" would benefit greatly.

    Any thoughts on this?

I don't see it as a "disruption"...It's more of a "heads up" because "this is what we are going to do" kind of thing. The reval can't be done solo...They are going to have to coordinate with businesses, banks, and their own government subsidies to make sure they keep the "playing field" fairly level through the transition. It is definitely coming...Too many "blurbs" in their news over there to be a fluke...

Thanks. You know, one of the reasons that I would like to see this thing happen for the great good of all, is to get together at the spectacular PegParty and meet all the wonderful people that have come together and created a community, sight unseen. Everyone is so willing to help and take time to explain things. It would be nice if that goodwill could spread over to the Pips community, that sometimes seems so cranky and ready to attack. Anyway, God bless us all, everyone.

I noticed that when I was over in those threads a couple nights ago...cranky is one thing...have you ever read in the IIF? I SWEAR 3/4 of the people in there are BI-POLAR, if you know what I mean! I have read threads from start to finish over there and one day dinars are worthless and anyone that holds them are nit-wits...the next day the very same members are EXCITED and making plans for the future with the gains that they are going to make when their 'worthless paper' is revalued!!! Good Grief! I can't keep up over there! I like it here much better! I feel the same way...can't wait to meet everyone in person and put faces to the names!

I think everyone here is so cool because:

    1. We are admitted Dinarholics.
    2. We, unlike many others, have no problem with that.
    3. We all know that a re-val and a Peg is as good a reason as any to party.
    4. We probably all will be fabulous wealthy people.

Okay, folks, this article has finally made a true believer out of me!

Thanks so much, Adster, for posting this. It's obvious that a re-val of some sort is in the works. I will be delighted with whatever it will be...even if it's something small to start out with, just think how exciting it will be to watch it grow! But just maybe they will decide that they CAN handle a 1 : 1 reval.

    Cheers to everyone!

I know this is a teeny bit off subject, but regarding fabulous wealthy people? I did a mid-life crisis re-education to go into service, to be a household/estate manager with my husband. It's a comprehensive management system to care for the families and homes of very very wealthy people. (hey! maybe some of us will be in a position to hire one or two!) You'd be amazed at how ill-equipped some of the hyper wealthy are to take care of their own stuff. Right now I'm back painting houses, because frankly I'm not real impressed with the way the rich folk deal with the less rich folk. So let us take care, when we are them, to guard against being arrogant, mean, and just plain bullies. Their children are often very maladjusted as well, and outright neglected. A new opportunity comes to me.....service consultancy for the "new dinar wealthy"!
