Some questions from a clueless person.
1) If I were to purched these IQCs, would I actually receive them in the mail or couryer and have them in my posetion?
2) If yes, is there another way to store them instead of actually being in physical posetion of them?
3) If yes to 1 and no to 2 then how would I redeam these notes from the USA for USD. I doubt that my Bank of America would get involved in trading these notes and it wouldn't be a smart thing to send the notes through the mail like you wouldn't send USD through the regular mail. You would use money orders or wire transfers.
That will do for now. I told you I was clueless.
Thanks
Rick

I just wanted to wait a bit and am a bit surprised that nobody came to the following conclusion that this "opportunity", if indeed no scam, might be not very ethical.
The US in its endless arrogant, others dictating and suppressing manner has invaded Iraq in a war of aggression, an unjust and atrocious war, based on a huge pile of complete lies fooling the masses. Hundreds of thousands innocent Iraqi civilians (lots of women and children) have been slaughtered by the brave US and UK soldiers for the US oil, pharma and other cartels of the US and global elitists who will earn a killing for "re-building" Iraq without letting any domestic companies establish in their own country. Blood of those innocent killed stick on this money and everyone who has a little bit of character and conscience will never support it.
I know that some won't agree, I care less about that, that's only my point of view.Micky

Is,nt there a danger that Iraq will take the US dollar on board, and run both currencies in tandom.
It happened in Ecuador, when the value of the local currency dropped to poverty levels. Ecuador took on the US dollar, worked out a trade agreement with the USA and now the country has two currencies. Ecuador, since, has a somewhat slighty higher standard of living, only slightly, yet the home grown dollar has not risen a cent since the deal, if it ever does.

Adster:
I'm with you buddy! I am buying as much of the dinars as I can possibly afford. My goal is to have at least $5M dinars safely tucked away in a bank deposit box before the World Bank approves it as "international currency". I have friends and relatives around the world who are also purchasing dinars as an investment. I would stay away from the currency being sold on eBay.
My daughter's boyfriend, an Iraqi vet, acquired just over $2M dinars while serving in the US Military. Several of his friends are also purchasing dinar on a monthly subscription plan through my supplier.
If indeed, Iraq stabilizes, gets a new constitution and elects a permanent government, the World Bank is guaranteed to approve the currency.
It is my opinion that PIPSter looking to diversify their investments with an instrument supported by the same folks who brought us the new Yen and DM, Iraqi Dinars are a winner. The country has the world's 2nd largest oil and the largest natural gas supply.
Just my 2 dinar worth.

omg... please don't waste your money! READ THIS:
If it Sounds Too Good to be True... (report from xe.com)
Ask yourself one question: if the Iraq Dinar is such a hot commodity, why would anyone in the know be willing to sell it to you? If you thought that the IQD was going to multiply in worth by hundreds of thousands of percent, would you sell it? Of course not -- you'd be too busy buying as much of it as you could.
But if you thought that the IQD was going to go down in value over time, well, then you might start trying to convince people that it was a "great deal" so that you could get rid of all of yours before it nose dives.
Remember the old saying: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Be careful!

denar
I have been thinking about the "if it sounds too good too be true" theory and it is usually correct. However, regarding this Denar thing. If these vendors have the ability to get their hands on a bunch for much cheaper than they are selling it to us for that could be a huge profit for them plus a good deal for everyone if the value goes up, right?

Like anything else, it's all speculation. It could be really big or it could just be pretty wild wallpaper. The only real danger I see is that once the government of Iraq establishes itself, it may not want the current type of Dinar. It could go back to the drawing board, so to speak. If this were to happen before its present currency hits the Forex, there'd be a lot of people scrambling to get their Dinars exchanged and the only place to do it would be Iraq. In the event it were to happen as described, those so willing to sell them to you now "at such a good deal" will be the ones buying them back from you for far less than what you paid. Not saying I wouldn't look into buying any; just that one would need to look at all angles. Even the Kuwaiti Dinar they compare this to has been changed 2 or 3 times since 1991.
