He stated that the bank has some 450 branches around the world, particularly in neighboring countries; the International bank of Kurdistan is now able to transfer and receive funds from outside.

The head said this institution has become a partner of Western Union which is the biggest company for transferring money in the world, Western Union is active in around 200 countries with nearly 235 thousand operating branches, enabling this giant firm is able to send the transferred amount in a matter of only two minutes to Kurdistan.

The bank representative claimed the federal government of Iraq has also been quite cooperative in this project by means of giving the bank the permission to operate in its jurisdiction as well as providing 50 billion Dinars as the starting deposit amount.

    Interesting,

Now we all must put on our common sense hats and read this over a few times to see the importance here. We know Maliki was just up in Kurdistan meeting with Barzani's, and it was all about the economic steps which the Kurds already set in motion, so for those who have followed my posts, I have always said the Kurd's have their act together, and that is why the swiss dinar they were using were worth 150 times that of the Saddam dinar at time of exchange.

Now here is how I see it. We know the Kurd's have gotten there oil production and pipeline online to Turkey, and they are also still looking to establish their own banking, and it has been permitted, and the central bank has committed $50B to date, so as you can see, this is a region which will lead Iraq out of the dark ages of Saddam's regime, so we know this is an important region within Iraq, right?

OK, so now we see this latest update on opening up Western Union transfers? Does it make sense? Of course it does, for the Kurd's are going to be the first to establish international trade, and it is already considered a safe zone, so why else would they be announcing this if not for accepting international currency, and in my research, it appears the revalue is at hand, and as some of us have been hearing, it is a done deal, and I suspect Maliki will announce it after meeting with Bush. It all makes sense when you piece all this together, you can almost see it all unfold in logical order if you look hard enough. Can you see it? LOL

    Good luck to all, Mike

I was thinking about that also, that it would be something of a slight if he were to make such an important announcement BEFORE the meeting with BUSH.

I'm hearing announcement before Maliki goes to the US on 25th. If it was made after seeing Bush it would look too obvious to the world and Iraqi people that Bush was behind the whole thing, (which we know anyway), whereas done before would not send out these signals.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Preciselly clueless. The meeting is next Tuesday on the 18th or the following Tuesday the 25th? I am thinking it is the 25th.

    Interesting,

Yes, that is what was being said, but when you look at it in another way, we really do need to see that it was US and coalition who has brought freedom to Iraq, as well as financial freedom, and I think it is the kind of message which will turn the corner against internal terrorism, and put US in a better light to break the chain of hatred of westerners in general.

OK, who wants to bet a peg keg which it will be, before or after? LOL Either way is OK with me. (g)

    Good luck to all, Mike

I was thinking about ordering some more in the 25,000 notes...I just want to make sure that everything is fine with the large notes...I would just exchange them first to get rid of them...I 've got oooddles of 10,000 notes and the 25,000 ones are less expensive...What do you have to say Mike, Adam and Cigarman? They're all good and it doesn't matter?
