Russia to write off 10bn dollars of Iraqi debts "within days"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
St Petersburg, 16 July 2006 (BBC Monitoring)
Russia will write off about 10bn dollars from Iraq's principal debt within days, Russian Finance Minister Aleksey Kudrin told journalists today.
"This is our country's contribution to the development of the Iraqi economy," he said. At the same time the Russian minister described the step as "a necessity, which he agreed to together with other creditor countries".
Overall, Kudrin said, "between 1997 and 2006 we have written off just under 40bn dollars of debts of the needy countries, mainly in Africa". However, Kudrin described this form of help to poor states as passive. "Russia is moving from writing off debts to more active forms of donorship, through participation in various international funds," he said. Russia is to allocate 150m dollars for supporting these states, but this sum is to increase step by step in the future._________________________________________

Price hikes pay another blow to the dinar at risk of collapse
The translation are poor but we talk about re-print
a new currency etc...
Musa Kazim
Another wave of price rises grind down the common sufferings of the poor and add to their suffering.
Prices rise every day without justification acceptable Dealers try to take advantage of the lowest possible quick profit at the expense of the poor. If the oil pipeline sabotage traders quickly raise prices on the pretext of high fuel prices
If cut off the flow of water and even briefly quickly they raise the prices of soft drinks imported and domestically produced, The trade bottled water Balb plastic has witnessed a boom unprecedented in the history of modern Iraq to the extent that I fear seeing packages imported water as a result of chaos business surges experienced by the local markets.
What arises from the actions of raising living standards and fighting poverty and unemployment is more than as saying (in the air Chpk) Rising prices continued in the form of successive waves. add more poverty to the poor and more money to the rich, The looming hope save big segment of society (the poor segment) of destitution and deprivation proposals and partial solutions within the door casing and turnover.
It remains the best solution is to pay a blow to the waves of inflation and monetary inflation in a predictable outcomes and the dimensions of the process of issuing currency, a new currency to replace the current cash in circulation, according to the equation (1 1000) method (3) deleted too.
So as to ensure a new balance curb slaves quick profits and return to the financial situation Anastha natural.
It turned a number of States to those solutions and the last experiment of this type in late last year when it resorted Turkey to replace its currency monetary another according to the formula deleted (6) too, which helped the Turkish economy to curb inflation and stop the drain of high prices.
The poor who constitute the majority in society need to Ingthm poverty, unemployment and waves of price rises, which stipulates bother every day.
The situation of economic chaos overwhelming responsible for the wave of price rises following things have come to the event of loss of control, resulting in no disadvantage consequences.

Interesting,
As with all translated articles, they are confusing to say the least. Overall, there is no doubt price pressures are mounting, and many are still unemployed, but with the planned revalue and announcing international investment law, already in place, this will explode regions economy, whoops, poor choice of words when speaking about Iraq, but you get the point.
We know that oil subsidies are being phased out in agreement with neighboring countries who were owed money from Saddam days, and we also know this debt has no been forgiven with the further lifting of oil subsidies, so this has created some short time pressure on low income citizens. This only fuels the logics behind revalue, so again, there is more pressure building on logics behind the revale to offset this rise in fuel prices which is now causing the same ripple effect we are seeing in U.S. There is often several months of lag time before prices increases are felt by everyone, but it is not hyper inflation as it was in other countries, so not to worry.
Good luck to all, Mike
