This no doubt is all related to the revalue as they prepare to open the doors to international trade and commerce, so this is great given Maliki is heading to DC next week.
Good luck to all, Mike

Hey cigarman,
Happy Birthday! Sorry I missed it yesterday, I was at yet another graduation party. But I sat there thinking, I need to get on the forum and wish cigarman Happy Birthday. My sister-in-law asked me what I was thinking about, and when I said, "Oh, about cigarman" She looked at me like I was nuts. She said, " You are daydreaming about some guy, and you don't even know his name?!" I just had to laugh. My family doesn't know anything about my dinars or this forum. But she made it sound like I was having a secret affair on the internet, and I guess in some way I am. I have kept my dinars secret, and my affair is with this forum that I have a hard time keeping away from. Anyway, Happy Birthday, Cigarman!

BAGHDAD, Iraq --Iraq and the United States signed a commercial cooperation agreement Monday that officials hope will help this country move into a free market after decades of wars, sanctions and state control.
"Concerning the agreement that we signed today, it is the result of long discussions and follows mutual agreements between Iraq and the United States," al-Sudani told reporters.
He said that the principles of the agreement are based on improving the Iraqi economy after it was destroyed by war.
"We will start a new chapter in the cooperation between the United States and Iraq," Gutierrez said. "This will entail cooperation in the economic field and promoting investments in key areas of the country in sharing technology and other forms of capacity building."
"It will be a unique opportunity to enable the Iraqi people to move from a centralized system of economic development to one where individuals can apply their skills and their talent and their energy to develop a better life for themselves, obviously for their families and for their country," he added.

someone said a few posts ago another translation of new currency. I still believe there is a difference between printing new currency and replacing all that is out there. With that said, let's assume for a very brief second that they did want to print and replace all new currency. Then why in the world would they have signed that agreement TODAY. that agreement will give hope and optomism to all of the people. and wouldn't a complete reprint/replace take a lot of time.
