cigarman - I often find myself daydreaming about what life will be like without a mortgage payment and car payment, and being able to pay off the remainder of my student loan!!! being able to live without the burden of debt!!! do not feel PRESSURE, i do not believe anyone in this forum will give you a hard time if tomorrow is not the BIG REVALQuote:
Hey guys, I don't know about you but tonight I took out all my dinars and counted them, smelled them and then multipled them by $1.12 and deducted 40% for taxes(just in case) and dreamed about what that would mean for my family and I. Boy, tomorrow is the day that I predicted, alot of pressure ya know. If it doesn't happen tomorrow, I know it will soon. I know it's the when now, not the if. I wish you all the best in life, because you deserve it.

Declaring that he believes the situation in Iraq has devolved into a civil war, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday he plans to try to bring the war back up for debate on the Senate floor.
The Nevada Democrat said he has been "somewhat gingerly approaching this.... No longer. There is a civil war going on in Iraq. In the last two months, more than 6,000 Iraqis have been killed. That's averaging more than 100 a day being killed in Iraq and we need to make sure there is a debate on this."
Republicans questioned why Reid wants to go over old ground and were ready to highlight the divisions among Democrats once again. (Watch how daily routines prove deadly for Iraq civilians -- 2:17)
"Talk about your bad summer reruns," said Eric Ueland, Chief of Staff to Majority Leader Bill Frist, "if they want to do that we'll go to the mats," he said.
Ueland threatened that Republicans would offer a proposal from Sen. John Kerry, D-Massachusetts, which calls for U.S. troops to come home by July of 2007.
That plan garnered only 13 Democratic votes in June, and illustrated the party's divide over the issue.
Republicans offered Kerry's plan before he did in June as well.
A Republican aide also warned that another debate about the Iraq war could prevent the Senate from completing work on necessary military spending bills.
Bob Stevenson, a Frist spokesman, told CNN, "We need to get the defense appropriations bill done and I would hope they would cooperate in getting the appropriations bill done to fund our troops, rather than engaging in partisan political games."
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid needs to sit back and shut up I wonder what PM MALIKI would tell him??? probably, get a clue!!!!
I'm not worried about tomorrow because I know it will happen. Any dates given is a guess, but the powers to be will make sure this happens. With the Israel crisis happening, I can't believe we're at the verge of a reval anyway. Maybe they will use the crisis to slip a nice reval out under everyone's noses without a hole lot of concern.
Prettyck, you have to realize that the media needs bad news to survive. They will never report the good stuff happening. If you don't believe me watch your local news tonight and I guarantee you that all they will report on is murder, local debates in city council, someone getting shot, someone drowning, etc. You will never hear the good because good don't sell.
so what is everyones thoughts on how this will go down??? do you think Maliki will make the announcement here in the good ol USA??? or in IRAQ afte r he gets back from washington DC?? my dinar is on IRAQ

I 100% agree - that is why the reval will never see the MASS-MEDIA light of day............it just annoys me what our politicians pull to try and get MEDIA- air time :fryingpan
He will do it either before or after, but I would think before because he doesn't want the iraqi's to think he's a pawn for the US.
cigarman - i can see that scenario playing out... Maliki announces REVAL before his visit to DC, comes gives his big speech to congress, thanking us for liberating and supporting IRAQ etc, etc. Flys back to IRAQ and know one in IRAQ is the wiser. if he announced it after the visit to the USA it would like we had a hand in pushing him to hurry up and get it done.......
