I haven't bought from them, but did receive the free 250 Dinar note yesterday in the mail. The dinar is a beautiful currency IMO now that I have seen one in person.

Strengthen the Dinar, repeat strengthen the Dinar, which is our goal, right?

Private economic experts claim that the 2006 budget will improve the Iraqi economy by reducing inflation, which will then reduce prices and strengthen the value of the Iraqi Dinar.

According to Kamal AL Basri, Deputy Finance Minister, the 2006 budget is based on a clear, strategic outlook and scientific solutions for Iraq's economic problems, away from the figurative forecasts of the previous two budgets.
He explained that the new, balanced 2006 budget has come about following the Council of Ministers’ approval of its strategy last August. A group of Iraqi and international experts participated in its evolution, following scientific solutions to Iraq’s economic problems.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

    Guys,

I didn't see it as I don't have the station Fox, but the feedback I had was that the programme on Iraq last night was a great insight as to what is happening over there. Also what came out of it was The Dinar has held its value better then the USD!" Fox News Winning Iraq!

Growth projection 16.8 % next year!

Just to update you on this programme that was on Fox channel which I'd love to have seen but not being an American we don't get that cable channel in the UK. Someone reported that at the end of it fox news update they talked about the dinar and a big public official said this is the new currency if Iraq...as he held up 2 big stacks of blue 10K dinar notes...oh and he was standing in a big vault...full of pallets of NID...

Did anyone see the programme? Mike?

Because this was always the biggest fear, a currency change, never thought it myself as billions have been spent on the current currency.

If the above is true, which am sure was the case on the programme then the Iraqi's are saying the current money is the one to stay, then in my opinion we're almost home and dry for a r/v if not by end of the year then by end of Jan 06 when the new government are in place.

I'll update on anything else that happens. :0)

    Yes Adster,

I did catch it and it is what some of us who have direct contacts in Iraq have been saying for months. There are many areas in Iraq which are far ahead of central Iraq, and as they are off the beaten path of journalists, they don't get covered. There will be some breakthrough announcements over oil reserves, which I had mentioned months ago, and now has become public, and that is that there is more oil in Iraq than anywhere else in the world, but we have still not seen major media report this information, so you can all see what is going on, good news is being supressed.

The FOX report was excellent example of what is going on, and it exposed the true pulse of Iraqi people, not just in Bagdad. They showed people vacationing like you and I would, business owners, questions of are they better off without Saddam, and there was an overwhelming yes response. School system had never been as good as it is now, economy, wages, unemployment is improving and the overall swing in the economy is well under way to a stable life without the fear we all see reported. Sure, some people are afraid in some areas, but one such town had been seeing bombing daily, and now not a single one in ten months, so is this reported in major media, NO, sad, but true.

As to the closing shots on vault filled with our favorite currency, dinars, is was an example of how much of the new currency is already pumped into economy. They showed free enterprise at work, and it is working very well indeed, from food stores to cell phone stores, business is booming in all sectors. The stock market was filled with optmistic traders, and fortunes are being made, but this time they are being made freely by the people, not Saddam's favored few as it was before. The showed Saddam cutting off the hands of a newpaper editor for printing the truth, and now this same editor is reporting the truth with no fear of governement retaliation, so is freedom working, yes, is democracy working, yes, is economy working, yes, is dinar stable, yes, yet we hear nothing. There were many more examples given of postive nature, but after this report, I am sure major media will be shamed into reporting a more balanced report on Iraq, not just the unfortunate killings. Horrific death is part of life in the middle east, and this will never change, but life and business goes on depite it, always has, always will, so nothing will stop the increase in value of our investment, NOTHING.

    Good luck to all, Mike

Excellent news Mike, was the programme a 1 off? For the dinar to be mentioned is a huge plus and gives the impression by showing what they did that the current currency is here for a while.

Yes, they showed the dinar as a strong currency being used all over the country already, and the people feel good about it, whereby in the past, under Saddam, you would have your hands chopped off if using US dollar, so contrary to what we have been fed my major media, the US dollar is not preferred currency, so the current dinar is here to stay the way I heard it. In fact, it out performed the US dollar which fell in value since release of new dinar. (LOL)

    Good luck to all, Mike
