That is probably where my nickname came from. This is what my mother has called me since I was a child. We are not Cherokee, but I figured she had to have heard it from somewhere. It fits me well.

    Greetings,

They had run out like many dealers have, but they bought one last batch, so they have it in stock again, only 25K notes are left as I last heard, and they do ship reliably, just don't pay commissions very well. (g)

    Good luck to all, Mike

Interesting... Don't you think when you apply all of the applicable time tables something may be going on?

This will secure the infrastructure of the economic heart beat of Iraq as 90% of all international and national economic progress is held here (World Bank Officials moving in, Heart of the CBI and Trade Bank, not to mention the ISX which is supposed to be Iraqs second income next to oil)

New clash with Iraq's al-Sadr feared

    July 27, 2006

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Putting more U.S. soldiers in the streets of Baghdad risks a new showdown with a radical anti-American cleric who has modeled his movement after Lebanon's Hezbollah guerrillas...

That will inevitably mean a showdown with al-Sadr and his followers — believed to be the largest and most active Shiite militia in Iraq....

    Funds for Iraq run low

    July 27, 2006

WASHINGTON Time and money are running out on the US-directed reconstruction effort in Iraq.

The main conduit for American rebuilding aid the Iraq Relief and Reconstruction Fund (IRRF) is scheduled to close at the end of this year...

Wow... Running out of money and asking Congress to stop Israel in Lebanon... So where will the money come from? The GCC? The G8? Who knows... but even under these circumstances Iraqis are supposed to pay over US $0.048 per lieter of fuel as imposed by the MOF acting on the advice of the IMF and crew.

Come to think of it was not the ISX given untill the end of the year to be up and running? It makes more sense now why the ISX chose to use the same computer network as Bahrain who not too long ago went live with the NYMEX

Iraq's new investment law offers extra advantages to foreign investors

    24/07/2006

Iraq's Cabinet said that the new investment law of Iraq provides foreign investors with a number of additional advantages, benefits and facilitations, Kuna reported.

Upon the new law, and foreign investors were allowed to transfer their funds to outside of Iraq at anytime without any restrictions.

The goal of the law was to support investments in Iraq through a systematic approach, specifically by creating equal opportunity between foreign and Iraqi investors, excluding foreign investors will not be allowed to own land property in Iraq.

The new law includes many issues, such as, annulling the previous law that was approved by the temporary government, setting up an investment authority to manage investments, offer facilitations and present a certain percentage of tax exemption...

Ironically with as much as is going "BAD" with Iraq they have instituted the long awaited Foreign Investment Law. Talk about timing.

    Theres that timing again...

    Now the competition…

Iran first beneficiary from country’s incentives to foreign investors

    July 17, 2006

Industry and Minerals Minister Fawzi Hariri has briefed officials at the Iranian embassy in Baghdad on a draft new law to lure foreign investors.

A statement by the ministry faxed to the newspaper said the minister outlined the draft to Ali al-Haydari, Iran’s embassy economic adviser.

The draft, revised several times and target of harsh criticism, is to be put before the parliament for ratification in September.

The law gives Iraqi ministries wider powers to strike deals with foreign countries and firms and grants private entrepreneurs more freedom to start businesses.

Iran, currently Iraq’s top trade partner, is the only foreign country willing to invest despite mounting violence.

Iranian firms are present in several provinces mainly in the south and the Kurdish-held north.

Iran already signed several bilateral agreements with Iraq under which major Iranian firms have the permission to set up subsidiaries and new businesses.

The Iranians are keen to start new factories for the manufacture of cars and vehicles in Iraq as well as electrical transformers and textiles.

Pacts to start these businesses have been signed but implementation still needs the green light from Iraqi legislators.

Under the agreements Iran will invest billions of dollars on seven major industrial fields in Iraq.

The new law will remove any remaining hurdles for Iranian firms from both private and public sectors to pour investments in Iraq, said Haydari.

Well we all know how the U.S. would feel about that now don't we.

    And this...

Iraqi government urged to invest six oil fields in Nasiriyah

The Ministry of Oil was provoked by the governor of Nasiriyah to invest six oil fields in the areas of Qal'at Sukkar, Rifa'i, and Al-Bateha'a has not yet been explored, Iraqi National Congress reported.

The significance of these fields is to set up refineries, absorb pervasive unemployment in the province and scarcity of fuel, the establishment of vital projects, and the improvement of Infrastructure.

Italy has allocated 850 thousand Euros to be used in establishing a system for the liquidation of crude oil, two pressure units, production units, some technical tools and mechanisms, and tanks and ambulances, also, to training

I could go on and on with the upcomming international trade shows and the gulf debt forgivness and more improvements that have happened in the local economy which has yet to be reflected in the currency... But you all get the picture by now.
