OK call me stupid.
If the parliment passed the investment law for kurdistan would they not have also passed the law for Iraq. The laws said the same thing and had the same conditions because Iraq used the law of Kurdistan as a copy to go by. This is getting real confusing. By the way still hearing August 10th to 15th for reval. Supposedly it's already a done deal, just have to announce it.

In my best summarization...
Iran has been the guiding force behind most of the insurgency in Iraq. Iran is definately behind Hezbollah (sp?) with arms and financing. I thought it was very fishy that Iran set a date of somewhere in mid-August to either accept or decline the provisions made to them by the Euro council to drop their nuclear program. So early this weekend on Iran radio, which is known to be the voice of the Iran government, they say they will decline any incentives to stop producing nuclear materials, basically saying they will do what they want when they want to. Today, the head of the Republican Guard, the elite government fighting force in Iran, puts the Iranians on alert, saying be ready to head to war with Israel AND THE US as soon as the president (or whatever his title is) says go. This is the most disturbing part, possibly the beginning of THE war. Everyone in the mideast seems to be taking the side of Hezbollah, especially Muslims, as Israel has been hated throughout all of history. Even Sadr, the radical cleric who holds a cabinet post in Iraq, is sending his Sadr army which numbers in the thousands.
Something of this magnitude could definately put a damper on progress of any kind in Iraq.

Iraqi Investments Club
Interesting,
Here we see Kurdistan investment law was passed last week, and at the same time the same was submitted for approval in Baghdad, and here we are seeing delays, so makes you wonder why? We know it has to be approved, for how could they differ from same law passed in Kurdistan which already had investors in several projects, so it was for ongoing assurance it had to be passed first.
With all the speculation within the parliament, makes you wonder about current Pime Minister of Finance, for that was one stupid remark he made last week, and he was shot down by everyone, so I wonder how long his position will last. LOL
Good luck to all, Mike
