Could be a big week. Let's see, the invest law is passed ( I still believe it passed for Iraq as well as Kurdistan ), troop build up in bagdad for security ( Armored delivery for smaller demoninations ), MOF coming to town August 2nd, Announced international compact, and with the Isreal crisis they could sneak a nice reval in under everyone's noses. Have I missed any other good points?

North Iraq
I just watch a little news report on Iraq. They showed the North and it was like normal, like here at home. People in Resturants and walking and driving in the city. The report was over skyrocket fuel prices. Then they showed the Black market for Gas in the open in cental Iraq.
I saw them exchanging dinar from one hand to the other. Looked like 10k's (green) and 5k's (blue). The reporter said they have gone from $5 to $50 for fuel for the week. That that is what most make in a week. Just wanted to report to the Dinar Gang what I just watched on the local News.

World Bank approves loan for Iraq
31/07/2006
Source: News Blaze
The World Bank's board of executive directors approved a credit to Iraq's government to rehabilitate highly damaged highways and rural roads and re-establish critical river crossings.
The $135 million Emergency Road Rehabilitation Project will facilitate reconstruction, promote trade and economic integration, and benefit road users throughout the country. The project will also create substantial local employment.
"The project is designed to address urgent transport bottlenecks," said Mohammed Feghoul, the World Bank project team leader. "At the same time," he added, "the project will establish a road asset management system to ensure proper maintenance and sustainability of road networks in the medium and long term._________________________________________

export pipeline to Turkey fixed
31/07/2006
Source: Times of Oman
Iraq's sabotaged crude oil pipeline to Turkey has been fixed, and exports are expected to resume to Ceyhan port, Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani said on Sunday.
"We have fixed the pipeline, and we will resume exports to Ceyhan," he told reporters.
Shahristani did not say when exports would start, but a senior source in the oil ministry told Reuters that Iraq had fixed only one of the two export pipelines, and it would take some time before repairs were completely finished.
Sabotage of the two pipelines has left Iraq's northern exports idle since July 9.
Shahristani said that once resumed, the northern exports would start at a rate of 600,000-700,000 barrels per day. A senior source at the oil ministry separately said exports were expected to start in few days.
Iraq needs to attract investment from international oil companies if it is to hit Shahristani's longer-term production targets of 4.3 million bpd within the next four years and between 6 million and 8 million bpd by 2015._________________________________________
