PH, I think adding the 3700ish US troops have already made an impact on security in Bagdad. Timing of that is kinda coincidental too maybe.

U.S.-Agriculture
U.S. agriculture secretary arrives in Baghdad
By Dergham Mohammed Ali
Baghdad, Aug 1, (VOI) – The U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns arrived in Baghdad in an official visit to meet a number of Iraqi officials especially in the agricultural sector, a U.S. army spokesman said on Tuesday.
Johanns is accompanied by a large delegation that includes academic specialists and representatives of the private sector, the spokesman said in a statement received by the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
The secretary would meet his Iraqi counterpart to discuss partnership between the two countries in the agricultural field, he added.
Soon after he arrived, Johanns visited a U.S. military unit in Baghdad.

UV penlight - where does one get that?
Good Morning Tiffany and all
Thank you Tiffany for you response as well. Where can I get a UV Penlight?
And you had the same thought I had, that they would say i misscounted or some were conterfiet.
Well it is around 3pm on the day of the News conference. The Big Meeting on August 2nd (missed that post) what is it about, and the IMF meting on Augst 4th. Power pack weeks of important meetings and such. I think i asked MIke or Adster if either of them knew anything about the process with the IMF - how many meetings and reviews would have to take place.
Well, the clip Raitz attached is a possitive view, not too often shown. (Thanks for the Hope) Although after the e-mails I have been getting from one of my patients, to see a little Iraqi girl drinking a glass of water didn't make me feel any better. but wonder and figure why those in africa have been suffering for decades. And who helps them - and where is US aid in our own country for those who have inadequate schools and supplies - OK i'll stop complaining. Just thinking out louds all :(Your body CAN heal itself! Was the IMF meeting moved up from 8/4 to 8/2 ????
I thought I had my dates correct, I even saved the IMF page, but maybe I am imagining things. Wishful thinking maybe, something i can be guilty of on a frequent basis.

This looks like the announcement.....Kurds FIL. Well, it's a start, should mean the main one won't be far behind. Yet again the Kurds have their shiite together and show the way for the rest of the country....
Investment law officially took effect, PM Barzani
The investment law of Kurdistan Region came into effect from last Sunday, said Kurdistan Region’s Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani in a meeting with a number of the heads of Iraqi and foreign companies.
Barzani also appointed Herish Mohammed Amin as the head of the body of investment in Kurdistan Region, the official body in charge of giving business contracts to companies and supervising projects.
Barzani said that after the law was approved by Kurdistan Parliament and the President of Kurdistan Region, it legally came into force.
The investment law which was approved earlier this month gives certain privileges to foreign investors in Kurdistan and equalizes them to national investors. Foreign investors, according to the law, will have the right to own property and will be exempted from custom tariffs and enjoy a ten-year tax holiday.
The region which witnessed a large-scale destruction at the hand of the former regime of Saddam Hussein and a decade of international sanctions, hopes to revive its economy through massive foreign investment.

I still don't understand why Iraq has not passed the FI law or announced it. Their just going to be even further behind Kudistan now. Do you think they will go ahead and reval since Kurdistan has announced theirs?
