    Interesting,

A new Shiite insurgent group, calling themselves the Islamic Resistance in Iraq Abbas Brigades, arose in Iraq this month. Analysts believe the group was formed with the assistance of Hezbollah and Iran. The group plans to target Coalition soldiers and the Iraqi government, but not Iraqi civilians.
It should be noted that foreign powers are engineering most of the “death squad” violence that is specifically aimed at provoking a civil war in Iraq. Many commentators speak of this sectarian violence as if it was a new phenomenon, when it decidedly is not. For example, note which nationalities are represented in the death squad personnel when Coalition forces capture any of them. They are almost always members of foreign fighter groups, radical Shiite militias backed by Iran, or simply insurgents changing their tactics. Death squad tactics is the new modus operandi among the insurgency, and should be viewed as an adaptation to the changing battlefield, not merely a new “bump in the road” fomented by Western ignorance or mistakes. Iraqis are weary of the violence, and have nothing to gain from such an horrific outcome.

A new scientific poll by the International Republican Institute from June 14-24 gives reason for continued optimism in Iraq.
    · 41% feel Iraq is heading in the right direction, with 35% saying the wrong direction.
o Those who feel it is going in the right direction cite the election of a national government (31%), freedom and democracy (21%), and the removal of Saddam’s regime (13%).
o Those who feel it is going in the wrong direction blame the security problems (34% + 6% cite “general instability”), the presence of occupying forces (32%), and sectarian conflict (7%). This demonstrates that most Iraqis blame the insurgents for their problems, and that as the insurgency weakens, morale among the Iraqis will increase.
    · 55% approve of Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki, which is impressive considering that there is intense political brawling in Iraq, a wide range of divisive and heated issues being dealt with, and a large degree of angst about the security situation and reconstruction.
    · A overwhelming 89% feel the establishment of a national “unity” government representing everyone is “Extremely important” for future stability. 46% feel that all of Iraq’s sects are “adequately represented” in the government, with 24% disagreeing.
    · 78% oppose the segregation of Iraq based on religion or ethnicity.
    · 67% support central control of Iraq’s oil revenue, and only 12% want oil revenue to be spent only on the originating province.
    · 47% feel that the death of Zarqawi will decrease sectarian tension, with 39% disagreeing. This may mean that 47% minimum blame Zarqawi and the terrorists for sectarian violence, as opposed to the other sects as the mainstream media claims.

    Good luck to all, Mike

Welcome choochie, what do you think guys? So many heists, bank jobs recently, why would they be risking prison for worthless money? hhmmmmmmm, makes you think some of these robbers are not so daft....

At about the same time, gunmen stormed a bank in Baghdad and killed two guards and a customer. They drove away with an unknown amount of money, said police Sgt. Zakariya Hassan. Also Tuesday, two roadside bombs in Tikrit north of Baghdad killed a policeman, said police Capt. Laith Hamid.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

    Pensioners want there money
    Pensioners & Maliki
    By : Falah al-Mishal
Scores of letters and telephone calls come to the newspaper by pensioners talking about their sufferings hoping to put pension law under effect since it was approved by the parliament several months ago.

Some letters like flow blames rains against the government departments who set promises after others without any change. as they were promised to be paid within last July but was canceled with knowing other date of promise.
Tens of thousands were waiting for their plights while ending their current salaries can not cover more than 20 per cent of their needs.
Some government officials said that reason behind delay was lack of allocations saying that big budget should not allocated for unproductive class of the society.
Now we ask if the pensioners could be rewarded following all those years of work with this little money.
They asked me to tell Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki story of their sufferings and working along with their youth time to receive no more than promises.

They can't go on like this for too much longer. They have to revalue.

I have to agree Adster, why all these bank robberies if the money isn't going to be worth anything. They need the security around the banks, and then we will all be happy.

Mixed in with oil prices rising, day to day living prices going up if they don't have a r/v soon then their own people will be calling for Maliki's head!

Not my rumours but the other forum have dates ranging from 13th to the 24th for a r/v. Different people, different sources.

We can only hope! We're that close now the facts are pointing to a r/v in itself.

Yes, the revals coming soon, I need it to because I'm getting dizzy on this merry-go-round. LOL. I still think the FIL for Iraq was secretly passed already. I think when they announce that the dinar will peg. I sure hope it's in the dollar range.

Agreed, currently off sick from the day job and could use a r/v so don't have to go back ever!

Thought the above all along, an announcement of the FIL being passed at this point would cause mass buy up of dinars, why would the government want this and hence pay out more than they have to? Not going to happen.

It'll be announced before the month is out and at the end of the speech by Maliki he will 'slip in' the r/v.

    Just my 1 dinars worth!
