Morning ezcash, no is the answer! It can be r/v'd anytime and not reliant on the FIL. I think we'll see them both being announced at the same time early September. Just my halfa dinars worth.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

President of the Republic confirmed that the fuel and electricity crisis caused by terrorism and not Baghdad government or the government of Kurdistan

The President Jalal Talabani on the understanding of recent events in some cities of Iraqi Kurdistan. affirming the right of people to express their opinions within the law and peacefully. And added in a press statement following his arrival in Sulaymaniyah on 12-8-2006 "letter to Dear brothers and sisters to understand the facts and not to outwit the enemies and tendentious schemes. Agreed,

The interesting thing about this was that the FIL was suppose to be completed for all of Baghdad at one time, but given the breakdown in security in Baghdad, and the relative calm in Kurdistan, it was ratified ahead of Baghdad all because of one issue, security.

Simply put, the revalue goes hand in hand with FIL, and judging from the huge interest by international investors in Kurdistan, no doubt it is as good as done in Baghdad, so it is only a matter of announcing ratification, and with it, the more urgent need to see revalue tied to it. So when security is back in control, and with ISX going live in September, it just seems to make sense to me that when security is under control, all three will be announced at one time.

    Good luck to all, MIke

    Wink Got this feeling!

For some reason I keep having this feeling that this is the week. Could it be the reports on the major crackdowns on violence, could it be that 12,000 extra troops are in position that I don't see staying there for another month, could it be that the price of gas went up again and the iraq population needs a break, could it be that no one can prove that the meeting didn't take place on the FIL, could it be for the first time a couple of weeks ago the government actually spoke of a increase in value of the dinar, could it be that the IMF came and had a visit, could it be that they have to do this for the stand by agreement, could it be that this has to be done before the ISX opens, OR COULD IT BE THAT I HAD BEANS LAST NIGHT AND IT'S CALLED GAS.LOL. Nah, I still think this week will be interesting.

Yeah but, remember when Miliki was here in the states. Bush said we will be there as long as we are needed. So with The troops there. That is even more powerful then their own security for now.

The article says they were premature on their own forces to be ready by the end of 06. So While the PM was here Bush confirmed yes we will be there aslong as it takes.
