No, I was talking about the article on the council of Ministers approving the FIL. The council had approved it some time ago and the house was supposed to have it. I'm getting to the point that some newspapers call the house of reps the council of ministers. I even get confused sometimes with the way the government works in Iraq.LOL. I'm hoping that the law was discused and passed on the 10th like it was supposed to be. If so, everythings in place for the reval to occur. JMHO.

cigarman, you know it is passed and so do I. This is why they are saying nothing. You KNOW that. You are to smart and know their game. It is done.

No, I'm not smart, I have a tendency to overanalyze things. But, I do believe that things are done and we're waiting for an announcement. Just too much happening for me to believe otherwise. Like someone said, we will see soon enough. LOL

do you see any indications that the holy month will have an impact on the timing of any of these things, the FIL or ISX or RV ? I had been thinking that October 1st might be what we were looking at for quite a while now.

I sure would love to be wrong about that as the next few weeks of my day job are not going to be pleasant at all and not much would make me happier than being able to just "say no" to all that.

Just a question for Adster, a few months back you were 90% certain that it would happen in July and 100% certain of it happening in August, you are now saying September because of security- but it would appear that the situation is more secure now than it has ever been with all these additional troops being moved in plus the fact that they seem to be capturing more terrorists than ever, whats changed you thoughts.

October will be just fine with me...that is when my SHORT term capital gains become LONG term gains, LOL!!!! WOOHOO!! Saves me over 50% on my tax bill so I love it.

USAID awards Community Stabilization program in Iraq

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded the Iraq Community Stabilization cooperative agreement to International Relief and Development (IRD), an Arlington, Virginia based non-governmental organization specializing in providing relief and development programs in civil society, food security, health, humanitarian assistance, infrastructure, and economic development.
The Community Stabilization project will promote economic and social stability in Iraqi communities prone to insurgent influence and activity by:

- Improving employment and business opportunities through jobs, vocational training and grants;

- Integrating disenfranchised youth into their communities through accelerated learning and life-skills programs;

- Mitigating community conflict through support for civil society organizations.

USAID has obligated $30 million of the Iraq Relief Reconstruction Fund (IRRF) to this award to date.

LOL Danny~! Self - CONTROL (which I have NONE, by the way! ) will earn you LONG term capital gains too you know! It would be nice to just have the darn things on the 'market' and decide how much control to have at that point!
