Just out of curiosity, this whole Yahoo thing. Can anyone CONFIRM for sure that they only list traded currencies, and that this was not listed before yesterday or 2 days ago? If so, I guess it would be logical for them to make sure that everything works properly before going live...Right?

Iraq Financial Management Information System online
Thursday, August 25th 2005
The Iraq Financial Management Information System (FMIS) is online, with 41 of the 54 units in the Ministry of Finance able to access the system.
FMIS is an automated networked accounting and budget execution system, allowing online access and a real-time centralized database for all Iraqi spending agencies.
Already, 35 agencies have used the system to enter previous expense and revenue data, and have reconciled these with the Certified Trail Balances.
Recommendations have already been developed for expanding the system to all remaining 128 spending agencies in the Ministry of Finance by the end of the year.

Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Reading all of the above leads me to believe everything is being put into place for the announcement of the passing FIL and our beloved r/v.
Also read about this plane filled with dinars going to the World Bank from Baghdad airport.
Lots of good things emerging daily.Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

I am relatively new to the Dinar, just received the ones that I bought. :-)
Maybe this is a question that has been posted before, but the Dinar threads are extremely long and I don't want to read them through from A to Z.
I have only received big notes Ã* 25,000 dinars. Do you think that will be a problem? I have read somewhere that maybe those big notes are going to be revalued to only 25 dinars, and that only money that's in a bank account in Iraq would be protected against this....
Though I am really happy for having my dinars in my hands now, I am a little worried about this point.

Welcome ants,
You've been misinformed. Once the dinar is r/v'd and the FIL is passed which could be anytime then you will be able to cash in your 25k notes like any other notes. I've read that they will phase out the bigger notes in time but you will have plenty of time to offload and cash in.Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

ANALYSIS-Civil war or not, Iraq economy faces vast challenge
By Alister Bull
BAGHDAD, Aug 16 (Reuters) - If the violence in Iraq ceased tomorrow, its economy would still be in deep trouble.
Corruption is endemic, its state-owned industries inefficient and while there is plenty of money around, it has done little to help ordinary Iraqis.
Inflation has soared since the 2003 invasion, sapping the living standards of Iraqis as they cope with bombs and sectarian killings which kill 100 every day.
"The prices of everything has gone up but the salaries have stayed the same," said Nada, a 33-year old laboratory assistant who works for a branch of the health ministry on a monthly salary of 200,000 dinar ($135)........Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
