    This is pretty interesting....

Read all of this one, it is interesting!! Read down to the very bottom highlighted in green, you don't want to miss this!
    VERY INTERESTING-
    1. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq.
    2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!
    3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
    4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq
    5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!
    6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq!
    7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.
    8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.
    9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.
    10. Amos cried out in Iraq!
    11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.
    12. Daniel was! in the lion's den in Iraq!
    13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the

    Fiery furnace!)
    14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.
    15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.
    16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.
    17. The wise men were from Iraq
    18. Peter preached in Iraq.
    19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq!
And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia . The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.
Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.
No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq.

The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.
(Note the verse number in the koran)

I like this part! AND THERE WAS PEACE! This makes it! Thanks, Mike

    Interesting Koran reference Mike....

Now if all those who SAY they are followers of the Koran could read it with the same reference... Now THAT would be interesting...

And about that earlier reference to Frogs, was that really a reference to cooking frogs? Or perhaps it is a metaphorical reference to getting the French to make a decision. Read it again. Interesting eh?

    Default Wow!!!!

Thanks Mike for your wonderful posts.

I take a little time at lunch to read the forum and today after reading all this truth I was torn between jumping up and hollering Amen or weeping. What a wonderful Saviour we serve. Just think how his heart aches .... I really believe that His Love is more real to us today than ever before and I am so thankful that I am His Child. This forum has been an inspiration to a lot of people and amongst the fun there is still the reverence and caring that you don't see other places. You can come here and tell it from the heart and no one gets offended.

Today I am thankful for who I am, my wonderful christian parents who showed me the way, the truth and the light, who are now At Home with the Lord, for my family and for my most precious grandchildren. I am truly blessed.

TOKYO (Reuters) - The level of violence in Baghdad has fallen sharply since July thanks to troop reinforcements and the new government's efforts to reconcile warring Shi'ites and Sunnis, Iraq's national security adviser said on Tuesday.

Mowaffaq al-Rubaie insisted that the sectarian and insurgent bloodshed that has seized Iraq was not a civil war, a description U.S. President George W. Bush's administration has strenuously avoided in the face of mounting casualties.

Iraq's National Security Advisor Mowaffak al-Rubaie speaks during an interview in Tokyo August 22, 2006. The level of violence has fallen sharply in Baghdad since July thanks to troop reinforcements and the new government's efforts to reconcile warring Shi'ites and Sunnis, al-Rubaie said on Tuesday. (REUTERS/Yuriko Nakao)
"This is absolutely not a civil war," Rubaie told Reuters in an interview during a visit to Japan. "Al Qaeda tried for that for three years and failed miserably. But it has created a crack between Shias and Sunnis."

Some analysts say repeated talk of a civil war could pressure the Bush administration into a withdrawal of the 135,000 U.S. troops in Iraq, especially if Bush's approval ratings fall further ahead of U.S. congressional elections in November.

Rubaie declined to give a date for the pullout of American troops from Iraq, saying it would depend on the security situation, but he said it was reasonable to expect that a majority could be gone by 2008.

He challenged the notion that violence was out of control in the Iraqi capital, saying it had peaked last month.

"The surge was only until mid-July," he said. "The number of attacks is down from mid-July by 45 percent and extra-judicial murders ... are down 35 percent since mid-July. We're there, we're definitely on the mend."

Washington has poured thousands of troop reinforcements into Baghdad in recent weeks, after surging violence frustrated plans to start withdrawing some forces before the end of the year.

    BIG CARROT, SMALLER STICK

The violence, much of it blamed by U.S. officials on Shi'ite death squads, poses the greatest threat to the three-month-old government of Shi'ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, whose national reconciliation plan critics say has so far failed to contain sectarian tensions between Shi'ites and minority Sunnis.

But Rubaie said the government's strategy of reaching out to those who have taken up arms was working.

"We tried the stick for three years. We need a big carrot and a smaller stick," he said, adding that even "die-hard elements" were now approaching the government with conditions for peace.

He said Iraq had made big strides towards establishing effective security forces of its own, and was aiming to build its army from 138,000 now to 150,000-160,000 by the end of this year.

However, while Iraqi security forces are currently conducting over 60 percent of operations themselves, they still rely on the U.S.-led coalition forces for back-up and intelligenc

Talking Looks like a higher reval

read-Iraq facing "stagflation" as prices soar

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As a result of the jump in inflation, the central bank, which was reformed after the 2003 U.S.-led invasion as an independent institution, said it had begun a twice-monthly 100 billion dinar ($68 million) auction of 182-day treasury bills to curb liquidity growth and put a brake on inflation.
