....SOOOOOO would the threat of a strike scoot along a r/v...or hold it up? I'm thinking speed it up....no oil workers = no oil exported = no $$$ coming into the country~! But that's just my opinion...and how it makes sense in MY head! loL!

A high-level delegation led by the Iraqi Minister of Communications, Mohammed Tawfiq, will attend the Iraq Security, Technology & Communications Summit (ISTC), to be held in September in the UAE.

The delegation will comprise a team of senior director generals from the ministry.

The summit, which will take place in Sharjah on September 12 and 13, is being organised to provide technical solutions to improve Iraq's communications infrastructure.

Covering all aspects of the country's technological and communications spectrum, the summit will build on the success of the 2005 Iraq Mobile Telecoms event, which was held in London, UK and also hosted the minister and a senior team of officials.

A few places are still available for companies that wish to hold consultations with the team during the event.

A number of the pre-eminent operators in the defence, security, technology and telecoms market have already confirmed their participation at the summit, including GE, Tyco, Aegis, ArmorGroup, BAE Systems, Boeing, Control Risks, Washington Group, KBR, Janusian, Land Rover, Lucent Technologies, MTC Atheer, Nortel, Northrop Grumman, Orascom Telecom, PriceWaterHouse Coopers, Raytheon, Verizon and Sun Microsystems.
